Macon is safe but we never really know, sometimes, accidents happended so be careful. I'm nit really sure that you shoukd walk alone in the tiny streets at the night, if you stay in the center it's okay but juste that. Macon is a really small town and there is not a lit of things to do. you can get good wines but it's stop there!!

Mâcon is pretty safe overall. You might get catcalled or meet annoying men who’ll insist on talking to you. I’ve heard of more serious cases. But overall, i think it’s safe, I don’t feel worried being alone there. It might get a little scarier at night though.
