On the west side of the city I feel like there’s more safety. On the east side I usually meet more sketchy people and also is more close to the train station which is not a good neighbourhood. There are a lot of people in this city asking money from you, but most of them are very polite. Rue Charras is an unsafe street in my opinion. I never go there at night and I would strongly advise you to avoid it if you can. But overall it’s not a dangerous city it just has some sketchy spots as all the cities.

But numerous neighborhoods are unsafe, you might get stopped in the street by men asking you for your contacts, making comments on your physical appearance, your clothes... There is also a lot of drug deal

I feel safe in the city, well there are one or two neighborhoods to avoid (like Croix de Neyrat et St Jaques) but otherwise i feel safe walking in the streets and taking the public transports :) I do be cautious when walking alone in the night just in case but nothing never happened!

It’s pretty safe. The streets are a bit too quiet at night so I don’t feel very safe walking alone (not because of anything specific but rather that since it’s a small city, if things do go wrong, there is basically no one around to help)

Clermont is by far not the worst city in France. It is pretty safe, I have never experienced something that scary, but I’m not feeling as safe as I feel in Asia. There is a good nightlife so you can find some drunk people fromTuesday to Sunday, but usually they are pretty friendly.
