I would say Kiel is a safe City over all. The police and other people are friendly and happy to help you, from what I experienced! At night I would avoid to hang out near the train station since there are some homeless people and drug addicts living there. The public transport is pretty safe but I would still stay aware of you surroundings.

Like in most cities the safety in Kiel depends on the location. I don't like being near the trainstashion at night, but to me it feels still much saver than some big cities in germany. I overall feel safe in Kiel

About Me

Hi there! I’m someone who’s constantly on the move - I love to travel and often find myself exploring the world solo. One of the things I enjoy most about traveling is meeting new people. For me, it’s the people and the moments we share that truly make a journey unforgettable. I’m also passionate about cycling, especially bikepacking adventures that take me off the beaten path. Camping is one of my favorite ways to unwind, and when I get the chance to relax, there’s nothing better than diving into a good crime novel.
