I visited Nuremberg just for a day since I live nearby, and it was a great experience. I felt completely safe the whole time. I recommend checking out Kaiserburg Castle and strolling through the old town — it’s really charming. I had lunch at “Bratwurst Röslein” — tasty and not expensive. I didn’t stay overnight, so I can’t say anything about accommodation. I spent around 20 euros for the day. Getting around was super easy on foot and by tram

Nuremberg is a place when I felt safe and it has become totally iconic for me! I’ve been there for a few days (cheap flights) and it’s really worth it. First of all, I can highly reccomend long walks through the town; it’s really cute and I’m sure you’re gonna like it. German which I met were very helpful, but still all you need is map. Museum DB (of communication) and museum of Albrecht Durer (who was born here) were really cool to see too.

You should always watch your pockets at Plärrer and Hauptbahnhof. I always walk around Nürnberg by night and I never have any problems, but never say never. I think Fürth (or Erlangen) is a little bit safer for walking around at night being a woman alone.

I would say that Nuremberg is a safe city. Most criminal activities are drug consumption or dealing with drugs. Thats why the main train station is a bit suspicious. But there's a lot of security staff walking around. In the city I never had any issues. :)
Posted: April 2, 2026Pretty safe, just be careful around the big subway stations, there’s always something going on. Inside the castles walls there’s always some sort of movement but it’s better to be with someone you trust
Posted: March 9, 2026It is quiet safe, but after nine/ten o'clock at night the mood shifts and has an uncomfortable vibe, especially around Plärrer. I would recommend to not be around the Hauptbahnhof either at these times.

Hi! I'm Johanna! I study social work, and live in Nürnberg. I love many kinds of crafting, like sewing or working with wood, I visit the gym sometimes and basically just try out every hobby that comes to my mind! I usually prefer reading a book or going into nature over big crowds, but from time to time I like to go out and have some fun. I always try to be my happiest self, to bring some sunshine and warmth to the people :). I want to create a safe space for the people I meet, so they can be whoever they are without having to pretend to be someone else. I absolutely enjoy the coast, just sitting somewhere looking at the waves with wind going through my hair is my happy place and just really calms me down. I'm travelling alone quite often, and it's always nice to meet new people and spontaneously do something, so I'm happy to meet you if we're in the same town! :)

I am very open-minded, humorous, harmonious, and tolerant. I always try to make the most of my time with other people,I also try to put my energy into positive things and to deal with negative energies in a way that they don’t overpower me. I am very spiritual and open-hearted. I’m not always in a good mood, but I always try to start the day with a smile. I manifest and believe in what cannot be seen. 🙃
