What a beautiful city to visit in summertime:) There are some many things to do here: visit Miniatur Wunderland (remember to booked the ticket in advance), the Elb river, Elbphilharmonie, Speicherstadt, the Bunker, Elbtunnel, two Bundesliga teams (St.Pauli and HSV), and so many more:) Small tips: you can take some of the ferries for free, instead of paying for the tourist ships, check online in advance! I recommend to stay more than four days here, including weekends since there are markets...

I loved it for the part I visited! It's a very big city and there is a lot of things to do, there's a lot of different cultures. The port is so nice as well as the old town ! There is a big outdoor ice skating ring it was amazing. Food was good and there's so many restaurants!

I went to visit a friend and it was so funny. We cooked together, went to eat on the beach and went to the amusement park. The weather was kinda rainy but I enjoyed it a lot and I felt safe the time I was there.

Hamburg is pretty safe. But if you there stay away from drunk people and random people that have signs. Also at night you shouldn’t be alone, you can walk around alone but it’s safer with other people.
Posted: February 24, 2026Hamburg is a safe city when you take the bigger roads or the metro/Busses. But there are a few areas, like Reeperbahn, Steilshoop, Billstedt, St. Georg, where you should not hang out at night. Theft is rare, but good bikes are very popular.
Posted: February 23, 2026Most of the time Hamburg ist really safe but keep an eye on some people around Hamburg Central Station especially at night

Hey, I'm Terry :) I like to read, travel and watch bl and my fav band is StrayKids. I'm pretty introverted but I'd like to meet new people and cultures. I'm a bit scared to take the bus or train in countries i don't know, cause I don't wanna get lost and people are scary :)
