Solo travel

My first time in Heidelberg! I had the time of my life! Such a beautiful place. It started cloudy but then it was so sunny! I didn't try the food or buy anything, I was so enhanced by the city, that I just walked through it! There is a lot of nature and it felt super peaceful. I recommend paying a visit, it's so worth it.

Solo travel

I would define recommend Heidelberg, it has good authentic food and historical old buildings. There is a castle with a wonderful view. It is one of the places you should not miss when visiting Germany.

Heidelberg is very safe when it comes to stealing or general violence. I don’t fear being sexually assaulted. You could walk around anywhere during the day and feel safe alone. When I’m walking around alone at night I do tend to feel uneasy but that’s just my common sense. I have never been harassed when walking around alone at night in most of Heidelberg (even the main train station). However there is an area where this doesn’t apply to. Sexual harassment might occur at night in the old town especially when it’s the weekend and especially where the clubs are. Even if you’re not going to the club area (untere straße) the hauptstraße will be filled with (drunk) partygoers who might could catcall you/ follow you around. But nothing worse than that.

It is really safe. You can walk around at night without being worried. None of my friends experienced any violence. I don't know any.area you shouldn't go. Maybe be careful wben invited to a private party into one of those fancy houses in the old town. Could be a student fraternity, going to the party is probably fine but I heard you shouldn't go when they want to give you a "tour" of the house.

I really enjoy traveling, seeing new places, meeting new people which is why I’m on this App ^^ I’d say I’m more of a chill person, enjoying activities such as painting, reading, hiking, bars & cafés… which doesn’t mean that I’m not up for going out or more adventurous stuff :))
