Clifton village is LOVELY! I’m staying in saint Paul’s area which is a little sketchy but more “alternative” I wouldn’t recommend this area at night time But it’s really close to the bus station and to walk downtown. I felt safe but just be aware

Italy
I visited Bristol almost two years ago. I organized my trip through an agency and attended a school, traveling in a group with my friends. I felt almost always safe, even when walking alone. From the first day, I was always out and about, occasionally returning to my host mom's place. I explored everything, from churches to huge green parks, museums to shops. Being my first time in the UK, I couldn't resist entering any store. Bristol's main street is full of little shops, and I will never forget the four-story Primark, which wasn't in Italy at the time. Once you understand the bus directions, getting around is easy, and the people around are very helpful. Tip: if you get on a bus, sit down immediately; it's not like in Italy where you can stand. I got scolded a few times. Get familiar with the upper deck; it's a unique experience. Don't forget that the direction of travel is reversed, so be careful when crossing the street. Watch out for seagulls; they brought me keys, meaning they steal everything XD (not that it wasn't known). I highly recommend seeing the suspension bridge and exploring Bristol on foot. If you're energetic, wake up in the morning and join the English for a nice morning run or, better yet, join them in group sports activities. For an Italian, the food is a drama everywhere. I was unlucky to have a host mom with back pain who served me potatoes and meat throughout my stay. However, I often went out to eat with my friends. Don't miss out on Five Guys and Starbucks, but above all, try the famous Fish and Chips; you won't regret it. To save money, I went to Subway most of the time because I didn't have much time going to school. Absolutely play Mini Golf and enter the arcades; you'll have a blast. I stayed for 2 weeks (15 days) on a budget of €2000. But we have to consider that I was with an agency, in a group, and attending a private school. Museums and transportation were "free." My host mom warned me about places where it was better not to go alone, but they were only in distant suburbs. If I could, I would gladly go back.

I feel like most cities, depending on where you are and at what time really affects how safe it is. You don't want to be around Stokes Croft and Turbo Island at night in Bristol. During the day, pretty much everywhere is safe and it's super diverse here. People are always willing to help, and it's a very LGBTQ+ safe city.

Bristol is overall a really cool and safe place but it definitely has its tougher spots. I’ve never had any trouble when walking alone but I will always try and uber or cycle to avoid long distances outside in the dark. The theft rate is on the up similar to London. Phones being snatched and bikes being stolen are a daily occurrence. I will say though when you stay in the safe areas and on main roads you are completely fine. Bristol is full of lush people and is a vibrant city to explore for a couple of nights. Just keep an eye on your things.

This is a small, rural community. I do not lock my doors and leave my keys in my car. Crime is very low. This is the least populated county in Florida. It is very quiet and peaceful here. I have lived here all my life.

Hello! I’m Bella! I am looking to meet new friends from around the globe, and to hopefully find some travelling partners, too! I love to host and I love to visit friends all around the world when I can. I am hoping for a break soon and to take my first solo(ish) trips, where I’d love to go and see some of Asia - I’m pretty open, planning has absolutely not started yet! I am hoping to also see AUS and NZ to visit some friends, too. It would be great to chat, hang out, eat, cook, and travel together :)

Hiya!✨ I’m a 24-year-old Italian living in the UK and recently got into solo travelling after getting hit by a sudden wave of wanderlust. I’ve travelled a lot growing up, mostly with my parents, and now I want to explore the world by myself or with some travel buddies. I’m a primary school teacher based in Bristol, outdoorsy, vegan and quite active (yoga, running, climbing)🌱. Love exploring new places, a pint at the pub and a boogie, a chill wine and movie night, literally up for anything. My first solo trip will be in the Highlands - will be kayaking at the Summer Isles and exploring the islands of Lewis and Skye! Really looking forward to meeting new like-minded gals xxx

Hey I’m Chloe, I’m initially from the south of England (in Cornwall) but have been living in Bristol for the past several years, and more recently I have moved onto my friends boat which is another exciting adventure! I am currently on a sabbatical from work and have been travelling since April 2025, initially travelling Colombia and now cycle touring France and Italy. I love to travel, explore new places and connect with locals along the way. I’m new to travel ladies but excited for the people I will meet on this journey :)
