Bristol is a safe city for most parts. I never really faced any incidents of physical or verbal harassment or threat from anyone irrespective of the mode of transport, time or place. But it's always advisable to be careful when you are traveling in the dark alleys after dark.

This is a small, rural community. I do not lock my doors and leave my keys in my car. Crime is very low. This is the least populated county in Florida. It is very quiet and peaceful here. I have lived here all my life.

Bristol is a city of roughly 500,000. Largest city in the south West of England, second largest city in southern England after London with an alternative vibe. Young population due to two universities, large overseas student population. Due to this I generally feel quite safe in Bristol. Like most UK cities, at the weekends at night it can get rowdy but on the whole is a fairly safe city for woman to explore. Same safety rules as other places, don't flash expensive things, don't walk around at night if you don't know your way or are obviously drunk. People generally help each other out here and are decent.

Bristol is relatively safe in the daytime, however I am a bit wary at night, especially since I work in town! It’s always a good idea to walk with someone else in Bristol to maintain safety! In my experience night clubs are relatively safe too, bouncers always look out for you !

You will come across drunk people / drug addicts at night. I am happy to walk alone at night but I will speed-walk and not hang around or interact with anyone. A lot of theft of bikes etc. as with any big city.
Posted: January 18, 2025Clifton village is LOVELY! I’m staying in saint Paul’s area which is a little sketchy but more “alternative” I wouldn’t recommend this area at night time But it’s really close to the bus station and to walk downtown. I felt safe but just be aware

Hello, I am Nirliptha, Project Manager in IT. Moved to Bristol in 2024 and fell in love with the city. I grew up in India, moved around to different states every 2 years (military brat)and ended up learning different cultures, cuisines, languages, local cuisine and that's how the travel bug bit me 🤭 I have been traveling solo since 2006, even before solo travel was in vogue. Pretty much covered the length and width of India. Took fancy to Hiking post Covid, since then every year I have been trying to go for higher altitude than the previous one. Valley of flowers (Yes this is in India and a seasiinal trek, an absolutely stunning trek like straight out of fantasy), Chopta, Kedarkanta before moving to the UK. Now the UK exploring is in progress albeit a little slower than my liking (hey work demands alright) Hoping this year it will accelerate. 🤞 I like DYI projects, singing, dancing, travelling, hiking or just catching up for coffee or drinks. I would love to make new friends so give me a shout out if you are planning a trip to Bristol and want to catch up.
