It's a lovely town with plenty of activities to do. It is safe, I travel alone, it is advisable to buy online all tickets to the places you want to visit. I really liked it, I will definitely go again.

The greatest and busiest city on earth! Love the museums, fish and chips from poppies, and the long walks! As an exchange student I value budget wise stuff, so having free museums and leisure spots is a must. And surprisingly i didnt get lost on the subway!

I enjoyed traveling to London I was able to visit several famous places as well as museums The only negative points were that I could not choose my own program, and that the sandwiches that we received in host families were not very good I enjoyed it and I felt great there What is certain is that I have finally scheduled my program to go back, all I have to do is choose the dates !
Posted: November 20, 2025Experienced: March, 2025i’ve been in london with a friend of mine two years ago in september. we’ve been hosted by a madam who was a old friend of my friend’s parents. she lived in maida valley, a lovely neighborhood far about four subway stops from Trafalgar Square. the city is wonderful and full of cultural activities, we went every night to the theatre. i really suggest to go to the globen theatre to see some shakespeare’s play. the food isnt so good, but its a good city to try multiethnic food, especially in the borrow market. we felt pretty safe with the light, but there are some weird subjects, so you always...
Posted: November 16, 2025London was very nice. We visited the Warner Bros Studio Harry Potter. This was the best experience in London. On the other days we visited the Sherlock holmes museum in the Baker street 221 B. The London Eye, Big Ben and Tower Bridge. The hole trip was very nice.

London is safe to travel alone as a woman as long as you take precautions! Phone theft is common in many areas, even in daylight, but with some advice from locals you should be able to enjoy nightlife and meet new people in the right places. Stay in well lit and busy areas when alone, and inform friends of your location when possible. Be prepared for how busy the transport is, again take precautions with your belongings to avoid pick pocketing. London is much bigger than most people expect and there are many areas beyond Central, so make sure you plan routes beforehand if you are staying...
Posted: January 11, 2026Pickpocketers. Specially around central London. Be careful with phone, specially when unlocked as they will access your bank accounts. Overall not unsafe, as a woman not particularly worried about gender violence here.

London is a safe city in general, just be aware of areas that are not well policed. Unfortunately, there are a lot of cases of thieves stealing phones especially in touristic areas such as Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and Soho.

Generally, London is one of the safest cities in the world. As a woman, I don't feel particularly unsafe walking around by myself at night, but of course you should always be vigilant. Violent crime here is quite rare to experience, and other than your phone and valuables being pickpocketed, I would say most tourists wouldn't have a lot to worry about (as long as they're aware of their surroundings and not hanging around areas known to be sketchy).
Posted: December 15, 2025I find it hard to relax in London, you need to stay vigilant with your belongings especially mobile phone, devices, bags, headphones etc. Some parts are safer than others but on the whole it’s high in crime rate.

I enjoy the small things in life: sunrise, hot fresh coffee/tea, home cooked food, playing with animals, laughing with friends, making children smile.. I dabble in politics (Tory), volunteer with the homeless. I read the economist/financial times. I am catholic, tee-total and plant based. I enjoy ballroom and Scottish reeling. I have travelled to 88 countries so far.
