LOVE Belfast. Love Ireland in general but there's something extra special about Belfast 💚 I've traveled solo, with friends, & with my husband. The history of the area is fascinating, the Titanic exhibit is really cool & informative, the nightlife has always delivered great times and the people are amazing.

It’s a nice city with a lot to explore. The shops are really good and the monuments to visit are mostly free. You can go to the museum and visit the park where the Ross fountain is. Just make sure you take something to protect yourself from the rain and the wind.

The greatest and busiest city on earth! Love the museums, fish and chips from poppies, and the long walks! As an exchange student I value budget wise stuff, so having free museums and leisure spots is a must. And surprisingly i didnt get lost on the subway!

I enjoyed traveling to London I was able to visit several famous places as well as museums The only negative points were that I could not choose my own program, and that the sandwiches that we received in host families were not very good I enjoyed it and I felt great there What is certain is that I have finally scheduled my program to go back, all I have to do is choose the dates !
Posted: November 20, 2025Experienced: March, 2025i’ve been in london with a friend of mine two years ago in september. we’ve been hosted by a madam who was a old friend of my friend’s parents. she lived in maida valley, a lovely neighborhood far about four subway stops from Trafalgar Square. the city is wonderful and full of cultural activities, we went every night to the theatre. i really suggest to go to the globen theatre to see some shakespeare’s play. the food isnt so good, but its a good city to try multiethnic food, especially in the borrow market. we felt pretty safe with the light, but there are some weird subjects, so you always have to keep your eyes open, in fact everyday at 22.00 we were at home.

London is safe to travel alone as a woman as long as you take precautions! Phone theft is common in many areas, even in daylight, but with some advice from locals you should be able to enjoy nightlife and meet new people in the right places. Stay in well lit and busy areas when alone, and inform friends of your location when possible. Be prepared for how busy the transport is, again take precautions with your belongings to avoid pick pocketing. London is much bigger than most people expect and there are many areas beyond Central, so make sure you plan routes beforehand if you are staying further out. There are many people to help in an emergency, call 111 if you are unwell and 999 is for all emergency services: police, ambulance, fire. Local shopkeepers are sure to help you with directions or any questions. There is so much to do and transport is very well linked and regular, and less busy times after 9am to 4pm are great to explore without being overwhelmed by the crowd, and it is slightly cheaper. There are workers to help at busy stations, so ask for assistance when needed. In such a big city there are a variety of people, some are friendly and some are not, so trust your intuition and you should be fine finding the right people to help or make friends with. For those coming from smaller towns, keep yourself aware of your surroundings as I can imagine what a shock it will be to be surrounded by so many people in such a rush. But enjoy the speed and chaos too, it’s an experience like no other and you never know what you will find!

Leamington Spa is a safe place. I just moved here two months ago and feel comfortable going out both daytime and nighttime. The town is small but has a decent variety of shops and cafes. The people seem friendly, and life here is quite tranquil.
Posted: December 28, 2025Pickpocketers. Specially around central London. Be careful with phone, specially when unlocked as they will access your bank accounts. Overall not unsafe, as a woman not particularly worried about gender violence here.

London is a safe city in general, just be aware of areas that are not well policed. Unfortunately, there are a lot of cases of thieves stealing phones especially in touristic areas such as Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and Soho.
Posted: December 22, 2025Not the safest place to be a woman, especially at night. If you have time go out, please keep to the main streets and lot areas and pay attention to your surroundings. The nightlife is not the best either way...but the city is surrounded by fantastic countryside and small villages

I'm in the final year of my undergraduate degree, living in Birmingham England. Growing up abroad has instilled a love for travel and adventure in me, and I make a point to fit it in wherever and whenever I can. I love EVERYTHING, I'm not joking. I've found the joy and excitement in everything I've tried. My main hobbies at the moment include pole dancing, and volunteering at a youth organization as a marine cadet instructor.
