I felt very safe in London. I traveled alone at 18 and stayed at The New Linden Hotel, which was central but not too busy. I used the underground by myself to get around and walked a lot. The city system was easy to understand, and I mainly stayed in tourist areas. I always wore my bag crossbody so nothing could be stolen. I was lucky with the weather (22°C and sunny), which made the trip even better. I really enjoyed the city and would love to return – though next time not alone!
Posted: October 1, 2025Edinburgh is a great city to visit. It’s very cultural and if you put in a little work you can plan a great trip. Theres a lot of free museums such as national gallery. Theres also comedy clubs and they do deals if you are a student. I would recommend going the week before the fringe as there will also be people trying out their acts, but the accomodation isn’t insanely expensive.
Posted: September 1, 2025I love London, and I’ve been there multiple times, both alone and with my family. I was 15 when I was in London alone for the first time. I stayed with some family, but I was mostly out alone. I feel safe walking around and haven’t had any uncomfortable experiences ‘yet’. I have mostly stayed around Pimlico, Knightsbridge or in Mayfair, love them all and feel safe. The people are relatively nice and open. The food is good and you can find all kind of foods and drinks, the prices are maybe a bit pricey though.

I travel to London alone in February. I met beautiful people and I did gorgeous things. I can recommend you to go to the Sherlock museum (was incredible) I ate at china town every day cause I'm a huge fan of Asian food and it was good every time I loved soho and covent garden so much recommend so much. I literally fell in love with this city, it's engraved in my heart forever. And I visited Iceland ☝️ I don't know what's with this city but I would literally live there forever if I could.

I just returned from a 4-day break on the Scottish coast. It was great for walking around but you need a car. Lots of stopping points, especially the NC 500 route. I would say it's a must. Very safe, lots of great solo walks and found the locals to be kind.

Typical city, stay vigilant & be outspoken and you will be fine. The laws are unfortunately not in favour of women here, with self defense tools being banned and courts constantly siding against us. Protect women, protect trans people, protect LGBT rights
