I visited Wales for the first time this year. I only managed to see Cardiff, but I liked this city much more than I expected. I was also shocked at how affordable prices were there compared to many other places, especially considering that I came from London.

Cardiff is a super safe city in the day time, so solo travellers don’t need to worry at all! In terms of at night, Welsh people are super super lovely and there will always be people around to help, however some people get far too drunk at night (the men) and can compromise you feeling safe. However, I have been a student here for 2 years and actually find it one of the safest cities in the UK

Cardiff is a very safe city. It is fun but also has its quiet spot. It is well located and has accessible transport to other cities. Its airport isn't much relevant, but you can always use Bristol's.

I’ve been staying in Cardiff for about three months. I stay at a student accommodation so I would say that does make it much safer because of all the security. But overall, since Cardiff is a purely residential area and it’s a lot of students because of the Univeristy, it’s quite safe and progressive. People are nice, I’ve never had a bad experience while being alone. Everyone has been quite respectful.

Instagram: @locatinglisa Love to travel, cities, beaches, culture and everything in between! After solo traveling I discovered how much I enjoy meeting new people and sharing travel experiences. Based in Cardiff, Wales, in my downtime I enjoy planning new trips 🌍 cycling, socialising, sharing a bottle of wine and discovering how local people live across the world. Nothing beats making new friends from all over the world.
