Cardiff is a great place to visit, friendly people and happy to help. It’s a safe place overall, but like any other town/city, just be a bit careful at night or near clubs etc make sure you’re in the public

I had lived there for 3 years for my studies and felt pretty safe. I felt very safe during the day. However, I was always careful when walking around the city late in the night, especially when most of the public weren't around and it was just random drunkards on the streets. I tried to avoid certain alleyways during the night as well. Otherwise, I would say it's a safe city for solo female travellers.

Solo travel experience

I visited Wales for the first time this year. I only managed to see Cardiff, but I liked this city much more than I expected. I was also shocked at how affordable prices were there compared to many other places, especially considering that I came from London.
