London is somewhere where you need to have your wits about you, be careful and asking alone at night and hold onto your phone for dear life when walking down the street. We don’t have the same community feel as other cities, so it seems like most strangers won’t help, but if you ask they will.
Posted: December 19, 2024Cardiff is a really friendly city that is well suited for solo female travellers. There’s plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and good public transport links. Cardiff is a good place to stay to see lots of wales.

Guildford is not too big, but there are plenty of fun stuff to do. I never felt threatened for walking alone after dark, even with my cellphone in my hands. Just not too comfortable around drunken guys.
Posted: December 12, 2024Glasgow is a fairly safe city, with friendly locals who are always willing to help people in need. It's quite rare to see violence and when it does happen it tends to be between people that know each other, so as a tourist it's very safe.
Posted: December 9, 2024Generally very safe and friendly. Consistent with most UK cities, you do still need to be wary especially as a woman. So make sure to walk home with a friend at night or get an uber and be careful which areas you visit and stay in.
Posted: December 8, 2024Safe small town near Snowdonia national park. Streets are well lit. Crime rate is very low here and i have lived here my whole life with no issues. I run in the dark and have never encountered any issues.

Brighton is the UK's capital of LGBTQIA, and where many of my European friends have moved to. Full of artists, students, cute dogs, unique and quirky shops, cafes and restaurants. I have walked around at all hours over the years, both with my partner and alone and I've only ever experienced peers complimenting aesthetics or asking directions. You may come across a few unhoused people but they keep to themselves and aren't a danger.
Posted: December 2, 2024The UK is generally a safe place to travel depending on where you go. If you visit London I suggest that you keep an eye on your things at all times as the city is very crowded. You can travel with someone or solo and because it’s such a diverse country you will enjoy learning about the different cultures within its towns
Posted: December 1, 2024Overall I feel safe 95% of the time! Just like everywhere, during the day, overall it is very safe, and at night is is still safe but good to have your whits about you as a woman. Using normal precautions will be just fine x

I would say overall London is safer than it gets credit for. Most places are fine as a woman alone, but you do need to keep your wits about you. Public transport is completely fine and when you stick to larger streets it feels totally fine.

London is heaven for history/culture lovers! I did guided walks, museum trips, theatre visits and so much more. There is always something to do and there is always a new friend to make. I’m going back for my birthday this year and I couldn’t be happier :)

Edinburgh was quite safe as I can walk around without needing to feel insecure. There are ample of things to do and visit such as Edinburgh Castle, Arthur’s Seat, National Museum of Scotland and plenty more. The food choices are okay and you can literally find restaurants/markets within walking distance. Stayed at the CoDE Pod - The Court located in the middle of Old Town and it was an amazing experience with great hospitality and facilities. Staffs were friendly and helpful as well.
