As long as you know what areas to avoid stoke can be pretty safe but some areas risk of sexual assault can be quite high. The club scene can also be a little dodgy so it helps having someone who knows where to go.
Posted: January 20, 2025Ngl its a dead market town with only restaurants, coffee shops, nail bars and hairdressers. Not really a ‘going out’ town but it is perfectly pleasant. I am a worrier but I have never experienced anything bad - hence my rating

I feel pretty safe in Inverness. People are nice and friendly, but not in a weird or fake way. I feel comfortable having my door unlocked even. Sometimes I forget to lock my car, and it's all good :).

Edinburgh is well lit and super safe for women walking home alone at night or during the day. There is a large student population who look out for you and even in the darker alleyways, in the centre of the city there is always someone around.

Glasgow extremely friendly city and is full of culture and arts with a wonderful queer community. But like any city there are all types of people and it has a history of violence. Overall I feel safe and welcomed living here but like any women I am cautious and stay alert when I walk alone at night.

You will come across drunk people / drug addicts at night. I am happy to walk alone at night but I will speed-walk and not hang around or interact with anyone. A lot of theft of bikes etc. as with any big city.
Posted: January 18, 2025Cheltenham is safe. I’ve never had an issue besides when people have been drinking too much, just stay viligant if a drink approaches you but Cheltenham is well lit at night. I’ve lived here for so long I forget to even worry about if my phone would get taken. People are really nice. Avoid teenagers around McDonald’s however, my only pet peeve is how annoying and rude they can be. That’s it 😆
Posted: January 18, 2025I have live here going on 9 year now and it is very safe compared to a lot of places. I never have to worry about going out late. Or being harassed. I’m also very night person. I would go on the weekend and it’s always very safe. There is always police in visual site. And walking back home has always been really good.
Posted: January 17, 2025I am fairly new to the city of Dundee so I can’t say for sure but I would just take all normal precautions. Protect your phone and don’t put it in your back pocket when walking anywhere in the United Kingdom

Personally I feel safe in this City and not much worried going around. But the experience may be different for visitors and other people. I live here, and travel alone all the time, I know that if I were to experience something terrible, there is reliable support and help.

I felt safe. Then, well, I was with some of my friends, so they also helped with this feeling of security. We had a good time. I was moved by the windows of the houses. The only problem was finding a place to eat good food at a reasonable price.

We took a 3-day trip with my friend. We stayed in the house on 3rd picture, it's named Iolanthe B&B with great host Rosie. We explored mostly the center of the city, near Tower and Buckingham Palace, but ventured out to Hampstead and Greenwich. We mainly used buses as a cheaper option for transport and we could see some part of the city from them. As for food, definitely try some od the famous markets like Seven dials Market in Soho or Borough Market near London brigde. If you want detailed itinerary of our trip, feel free to reach out 😊

I’m a mum to a teenage girl and a Nurse by profession who loves to hike in the mountains, and find amazing waterfalls (although I cannot map read as i rely on hiking apps!) as a way to recharge my batteries. I also do love gardening and i have a small allotment where i grow some vegetables and sunflowers. I have two crazy dogs - a working cocker and a cockapoo that comes with me for walks or hikes in the mountains.
