I felt safe, Bremen has a lot of horse farms to offer, you can learn to ride and after lessons swim in the river that flows through the whole of Bremen, I think it's a great location for solo travel because there are many green pastures and warm people, you can make friends by going outside where people do different kind of sports, I recommend Wasserhorst in Bremen, was best.

I'd say it's generally a safe city and you can go out as a woman with no issues. I like to avoid the main train station at night though..it's not the worst but not the best place to be at night either
Posted: January 25, 2026Bremen is a very safe city. The only place that’s not that safe is the main train station at night a the “Viertel”. Many alcoholic and strange people may bother you. I’m 19 and I never had any problems. Just don’t go alone at night at these places
Posted: November 1, 2025It is fairly safe, the main train station is a spot where you have to be careful, but nothing ever happened to me. The rest is relatively safe especially in the crowded parts and trains. Be aware of your surroundings but don't worry to much and enjoy your stay!

It really depends on the district you’re in. Around the train station it’s not that safe being alone as a woman just like in most big towns. I live in Horn which is 15minutes from the train station and pretty safe there.
Posted: August 25, 2025Bremen is generally a safe place to visit and get around in. There are some areas, like „Viertel“ where it can feel a little bit off, especially at night, but nothing should happen and nothing has ever happened to me.

For English and spanish scroll a little bit Hi ich bin Johanna! // Hi, I'm Johanna! I'm currently writing my master's thesis in Sustainable Food Systems. I live near Bremen (easily accessible by train). At the moment, I'm also working part-time in organic production control for organic producers in Germany. When I have free time, I like to visit friends from Erasmus! I did that in Tenerife. I am open to lots of activities, I really enjoy hiking, and all kinds of animals (if you have any)! There is a guest room in our flat share. If you come to visit me, you would have your own room. // ¡Hola, soy Johanna! Si vienes a visitarme, tendrás tu propia habitación.
