It’s a small city of old rich people, students and families. I never had a problem walking home late. There is just inoffensive homeless people at the train station. 
Really safe city for girlies ! 
I would recommend not to go near Bremer Platz at night if u want to feel a 100% safe but it’s really ok and I never had a problem (I live one street away from this place)

Münster is a student city. It offers a secure and welcoming environment. 
It is also a bicycle city. I always feel safe to bike home alone after a party.
The crime index is very low compared to other German cities.

Being in munster was nice. i lived 20 minutes from the center of the city and i was moving with public transport or a car. it’s a really green place and the residents respect the environment a lot. i would go back
