I stayed in Sydney for about a month and I would say expect to spend around $60-70 per day, I’d recommend getting groceries rather than eating out because restaurants are very expensive here. I loved visiting the beaches everyday and sitting out in the sun I would recommend renting a car if you’re the type of person to do a lot of hikes or wanting to visit the blue mountains although you can get public transportation pretty much anywhere you want and it’s cheaper then renting or taking an Uber.
Posted: March 21, 2025Very safe. 5 stars Expensive to eat out. Beware of potential strong tides while swimming. Great scuba diving. Non-existent night life really. Need to get a ferry onto the island. Can use a bus on the island.
Posted: March 19, 2025Experienced: February, 2024Medium safety, had a few men catcall and follow me, especially at night. There was not much to do at all in the city centre, I would recommend going elsewhere such as Fremantle, or buying a van and doing a road trip
Posted: March 10, 2025I felt safe in Australia You could easily do frist or be on your own. Alot travel in groups together so it can be lonely but you could probably join. In some places were alot of Germans and some a lot of French. Can be overwhelming

Cairns was great. Loads to see and do. Aquariums, zoos, butterfly sanctuary, rainforest, free outdoor pools. Loads of places to eat too. Definitely recommend, some of the locals can be intimidating but you move past it

Western Australia is a hidden gem of Australia. Everyone goes to the eastern side but there is so much untouched land on the Western side. They have the nicest beaches I’ve ever seen as well as snorkelling right off the beach. I felt mostly safe in WA. There was a few same towns that made me uneasy but no real dangerous encounters. I would avoid the town of Carnarvon if possible. If you can, stay in Fremantle as opposed to Perth. Lot of free camping options in WA. We rented a camper van and stayed in campsites most of the time which helped the budget. Download WikiCamps Aus to find the free sites. People post reviews of the campgrounds as well if you’re worried about safety. We travelled from Perth up North to Exmouth and came back down. I’m dying to go back there again because I loved it so much. Definitely choose the time of year you go wisely tho bc the hot weather and flies can be intense. I recommend doing the whale shark swim if you have the time and money for it. Once in a lifetime opportunity.

France
I went to Perth in August for a month with my sister (she was 16yo) and with my grand mother(76yo). We visited her sister (82yo). And in Perth we visited the first week, then we rented a camper for 2 weeks (Camper Days) [Perth-Hyden with the Wave Rock- Esperence with the Lucky Bay- Jeramungup with Point Ann where we saw whales-Albany-Denmark-Pemberton with the Valley of the Giants- Busselton with the underwater observatory-Bunbery with the dolphin-Perth] I was only 19 but I drove all the road trip and it was like a dream really to be so far away, in the middle of nowhere with my sister and the other generation of sister in the back of the camper( my sister was my co-pilote with Google maps, we took a special internet package with 7Go for the outback). From France (go and back) the plane tickets cost 1500€ In Australia for 1 month per person it cost 1400€ with my share in the camper rent, food, national parks tickets, gasoline, camper site in caravan park, souvenirs... I will never forget this road trip!! Here poeple are nice, the locals help you when you are lost or when you don’t understand something. And the other travelers share their tips in the caravan parks around the barbecues. We were 4 women and we always felt safe, I had my sister under my responsability but it was fine and even if my grand mother doesn’t speak English, everything went very well ! (When I had a small problem with the wipers, the camper rental agency immediately answered the phone and directed me to the nearest garage) If you want to discover beatiful wide open spaces and many unique animals, go to Western Australia ☀️
Posted: January 26, 2025I felt very safe in Sydney. You can get anywhere pretty fast, the busses are good. With the bike as well, but the city is definitely not build for bikes, there are a lot of red lights and surprisingly many hills. The museums are fucking awesome. Many of them for free. Check out the wednesday Museum night Events!
Posted: January 24, 2025Experienced: December, 2024Very nice but small Great views, great tours. But needs to be planed with a good budget as the tours are a bit pricey Lots of mosquitos, sting season and wet season can change the plans a bit. Bus is 50 cents but if you don’t have a car 3 days is more than enough
Posted: January 16, 2025Loved Sydney. Although it was very busy!! Felt safe the city was just a bit congested. They had lots to do there and they had many food cuisine’s from around the world to eat !! I felt pretty safe and their was many chill activities to do. The beaches and weather were great 🤍

Overall, Perth is generally safe. There are areas where you would want to avoid at night because of colourful people but that isn't special to Perth. Awareness and caution are always important even in the safest cities and Perth is no exception.

Cairns right now is going through a tough time because of juvenile criminality. People won’t actually hurt you but they will make you feel uncomfortable and unsafer But overall is a beautiful city and surroundings are gorgeous as well: Palm cove, rain tree forest, the barrier reef…

Hi lovely humans, my name is Alice but I go by Ali. I am solo traveling overseas for the first time this year and am super keen to make some friends on the way! I am very open minded, down to earth, bubbly and love some banter. I’m down for getting our steps up, eating too much, partying hard, relaxing as we deserve, and everything between! This year a goal of mine is to get over my fear of horses and go on a ride, if anyone can help me with this 💜

Hi, I’m Rose! I’m originally from Nepal and currently living in Tasmania, Australia, which I now call home. I’ve never traveled outside of Nepal and Australia, but in 2025, I’ve promised myself to step outside my comfort zone and explore a new country to experience different cultures and environments. I’m easygoing, trustworthy, and helpful, and I believe we could have a great time together. I’m excited to meet new people and have memorable experiences on this journey! 😊 Please note: the added TikTok and YouTube accounts aren’t mine. Idk how to change them. I tried adding my real one but it didn’t allow me to.
