I would say it is really safe, especially for such a big city with lots of tourists, but I've only been to cbd and east from that, idk about the western parts. I experienced sexual harassment once, since I've been there.

There is crime in Broome, but it is opportunistic. Indigenous crime is high, but it's usually between the members of the community. Indigenous people may come up asking you to buy alcohol but they're very polite about it (just nicely decline).
Posted: April 23, 2025it’s a very safe area, i’ve never had anything crazy happen and i’ve lived there my whole life. at night i would mainly stay with friends but i have walked alone and nothings ever happened. i’d say just be the usual level of caution girls have to be :))

You can walk at night, you can take easily public transport without any problem. The only people who can be agressive are drink and drugs homeless people but they don't do anything. Many Australians leave their doors open and no one steals them.

For my lifestyle in Melbourne, the experience is safe in general. There will inevitably be people that act invariably but I feel safe, and if we meet up, I'll ensure we are comfortable and safe as can be at all times.

Overall Melbourne is a safe city. I have not been a victim of any crimes and would say the overall culture is secure, general common sense like keeping phones/wallets out of site in tourist areas and using apps like Uber would keep you safe.

Honestly mid, not worth going to, just go to the Sydney CBD, Parramatta or Blue Mountains. Anything beyond Paramatta is most likely residential, going north or south is the same. Stick to walking the coast of NSW, much nicer sites.

Most of the crime here is done by youths/teens and are mild break ins or car theft. Doesn’t happen very often though. It’s a remote area but as long as common sense is used, it’s a lovely town to be in.

Generally safe, but use general precautions especially at night and if drunk or alone. Don't walk through parklands in the city at night, the CBD is generally ok. Not a huge amount of street violence etc
Posted: April 4, 2025Perth is a small and safe city mostly centred on suburban and coastal living. Generally people are friendly and easy going, always happy to help. Public transport hubs, streets and city parks are well lit.

Sydney is a super great and beautiful city. It's very easy to travel around on your own. There is great public transport in the cities and you meet new people everywhere. All in all, I can recommend Sydney in Australia to anyone. There is something for everyone.

Canada
I stayed in Sydney for about a month and I would say expect to spend around $60-70 per day, I’d recommend getting groceries rather than eating out because restaurants are very expensive here. I loved visiting the beaches everyday and sitting out in the sun I would recommend renting a car if you’re the type of person to do a lot of hikes or wanting to visit the blue mountains although you can get public transportation pretty much anywhere you want and it’s cheaper then renting or taking an Uber.

Hi lovely humans, my name is Alice but I go by Ali. I am solo traveling overseas for the first time this year and am super keen to make some friends on the way! I am very open minded, down to earth, bubbly and love some banter. I’m down for getting our steps up, eating too much, partying hard, relaxing as we deserve, and everything between! This year a goal of mine is to get over my fear of horses and go on a ride, if anyone can help me with this 💜
