Overall, Perth is generally safe. There are areas where you would want to avoid at night because of colourful people but that isn't special to Perth. Awareness and caution are always important even in the safest cities and Perth is no exception.

Cairns right now is going through a tough time because of juvenile criminality. People won’t actually hurt you but they will make you feel uncomfortable and unsafer But overall is a beautiful city and surroundings are gorgeous as well: Palm cove, rain tree forest, the barrier reef…
Posted: March 31, 2025Canberra is a very safe city, but it is also very boring. The sketchiest thing here is the young eshays and few junkies at the bus interchanges. The city at night is pretty empty so it can be a bit eerie but I’ve never had a scary encounter there.

It's a pretty safe city, there are always dodgy areas and specific suburbs, but for the most part it's a safe place to be. Be careful if you're going out clubbing/don't go alone, but I think that's pretty universal
Posted: March 20, 2025I would say Melbourne is generally pretty safe. As a girl if you go out at night I would say for your safety make sure someone is with you if you can especially in the city. But overall it’s pretty safe if you have common sense.
Posted: March 16, 2025Like all places, some parts are unsafe others are safe. Be vigilant when by yourself and try to avoid being in certain places at night by yourself. Pickpocketing isn't a big thing, but general awareness and vigilance goes a long way.

Just a very nice suburban area of course different locations in the sunny coast can change like I wouldn’t be wondering alone in Maroochydore at night or a few places. But you always need to be careful in the suburbs. But overall as a local it’s pretty much a safe space for most women. Just depends on what you’re doing.
Posted: March 16, 2025Safe city to live and work in. Some great hidden gems not far if have transport to see. Western culture is so very safe, has mixture of other though so experiencing different foods at restaurants all around the city.

Unless you are going to particularly dodgy areas then there’s really nothing to worry about, Hobart is very safe compared to the rest of Australia. We get a fair share of delinquent youths and crackheads but it’s not at all anything to be scared of.
Posted: March 8, 2025It's a family neighbourhood. Its close to everything but not an area for partying as theres no clubs or anythoung here. It's rare to get random people causing problems in the street. There are families out and about most ofnthe time. Neighbours are friendly.

I stayed in Sydney for about a month and I would say expect to spend around $60-70 per day, I’d recommend getting groceries rather than eating out because restaurants are very expensive here. I loved visiting the beaches everyday and sitting out in the sun I would recommend renting a car if you’re the type of person to do a lot of hikes or wanting to visit the blue mountains although you can get public transportation pretty much anywhere you want and it’s cheaper then renting or taking an Uber.
Posted: March 21, 2025Very safe. 5 stars Expensive to eat out. Beware of potential strong tides while swimming. Great scuba diving. Non-existent night life really. Need to get a ferry onto the island. Can use a bus on the island.

Hi lovely humans, my name is Alice but I go by Ali. I am solo traveling overseas for the first time this year and am super keen to make some friends on the way! I am very open minded, down to earth, bubbly and love some banter. I’m down for getting our steps up, eating too much, partying hard, relaxing as we deserve, and everything between! This year a goal of mine is to get over my fear of horses and go on a ride, if anyone can help me with this 💜
