Perth is a very quiet city. Aside from drunk boys on weekend nights or the occasional homeless individual, it's extremely safe. I regularly go on midnight walks around my area and the city. It's just like most places, remain vigilant and aware and you will be fine. Usually when I walk I have both earbuds in and I've never had a bad experience. The only bad things I have had happen are drunk boys catcalling but they back off with a good mean stare!

Sydney is very big but it's very safe. I've lived there for 18 years and walked home alone in the dark A LOT and nothing unsafe happened. The only thing to look out for is there is one dodgy area in Western Sydney were late at night drunk teens get onto to trains but they never do anything, it's still uncomfortable
Posted: July 1, 2025Very safe town, well lit in most areas. Main streets very safe, though the town doesn't have a huge night life so you're not often out super late anyway. There are a few streets that you'd want to generally avoid at night but nothing too scary

I personally feel no danger, I have once had my phone stolen but there was no danger involved. I had left my phone unattended at the beach. I have taken public transport and did not worry. Night time as a woman I always stay alert but I’ve never felt like I needed to watch over my shoulder.

Relatively safe, as long as you are aware of your personal safety and don't put yourself in unsafe situations. People are pleasant, and there are a lot of surveillance cameras in Ipswich.
Posted: June 21, 2025I walk around late at night as a girl but it’s really safe and I’m not as worried as I probably should be haha. But it’s a small community so everyone knows each other and is friendly so I recommend the location for sunbathing at the beach or going for a hike/walk. Not many people walking around late at night tho

Australia
I went to Melbourne for a concert with friends. Unfortunately due to my diet restrictions (gluten intolerant and lactose intolerant) a lot of the restaurants they wanted to go to were not an option for me. However, I was easily able to find places that accommodated my needs and the food was good. I ended up walking around alone a lot and it was so easy to get around. It was safe and I had so much fun. The attractions themselves in Melbourne are really great too. There are a lot of interesting and unique things to do as well as some things that even the locals do. It's a wonderful city to visit and I'm hoping to move there in the next few years!

It was so long ago that I was in Australia but it was then that I felt in love with the country, social ppl, sunshine all the time. I wanted to live there so I started to travel in Europe and got to Sweden. Got preoccupied and started a family here 😂
