Is Western Australia worth visiting?

Western Australia is a hidden gem of Australia. Everyone goes to the eastern side but there is so much untouched land on the Western side. They have the nicest beaches I’ve ever seen as well as snorkelling right off the beach. I felt mostly safe in WA. There was a few same towns that made me uneasy but no real dangerous encounters. I would avoid the town of Carnarvon if possible. If you can, stay in Fremantle as opposed to Perth. Lot of free camping options in WA. We rented a camper van and stayed in campsites most of the time which helped the budget. Download WikiCamps Aus to find the free sites. People post reviews of the campgrounds as well if you’re worried about safety. We travelled from Perth up North to Exmouth and came back down. I’m dying to go back there again because I loved it so much. Definitely choose the time of year you go wisely tho bc the hot weather and flies can be intense. I recommend doing the whale shark swim if you have the time and money for it. Once in a lifetime opportunity.

Family travel

I went to Perth in August for a month with my sister (she was 16yo) and with my grand mother(76yo). We visited her sister (82yo). And in Perth we visited the first week, then we rented a camper for 2 weeks (Camper Days) [Perth-Hyden with the Wave Rock- Esperence with the Lucky Bay- Jeramungup with Point Ann where we saw whales-Albany-Denmark-Pemberton with the Valley of the Giants- Busselton with the underwater observatory-Bunbery with the dolphin-Perth] I was only 19 but I drove all the road trip and it was like a dream really to be so far away, in the middle of nowhere with my sister and the other generation of sister in the back of the camper( my sister was my co-pilote with Google maps, we took a special internet package with 7Go for the outback). From France (go and back) the plane tickets cost 1500€ In Australia for 1 month per person it cost 1400€ with my share in the camper rent, food, national parks tickets, gasoline, camper site in caravan park, souvenirs... I will never forget this road trip!! Here poeple are nice, the locals help you when you are lost or when you don’t understand something. And the other travelers share their tips in the caravan parks around the barbecues. We were 4 women and we always felt safe, I had my sister under my responsability but it was fine and even if my grand mother doesn’t speak English, everything went very well ! (When I had a small problem with the wipers, the camper rental agency immediately answered the phone and directed me to the nearest garage) If you want to discover beatiful wide open spaces and many unique animals, go to Western Australia ☀️
