Solo travel

Geelong is the second largest city in Victoria, Australia. Most Victorians head down to the beach but the city itself has plenty of culture and other places to visit such as the Geelong Art Gallery and the Botanical Gardens. I recommend a car to get around in. It’s only a short drive to Torquay and Jan Juc Beaches. It’s only unsafe if you ignore the life savers’ instructions but not swimming between the flags!

Is Geelong safe for women?

Victoria

Victoria

It’s a relatively safe city, but always be cautious at night. There are some areas which are less safe than others when dark. Unfortunately, I hear about petty crimes quite often but I haven’t lived there for a while so it’s hard to give an updated perspective.
