Is Tasmania safe for solo female travelers?

Tasmania is generally very safe for solo female travelers. Crime is relatively low, and locals are friendly and helpful. However, like anywhere else in the world, it is still important to take basic precautions such as not walking alone at night in quiet areas, being aware of your surroundings and keeping your valuables secure. Tasmania's major towns and tourist hubs are well-lit and populated even in the evenings, public transport is reliable and there's good network coverage across the island.

I feel safe! I rent a car and drove about 1250km, the east coast line is very blue, makes me feel like in Nice, France. I recommend lobster in Stanley, the most popular restaurant there. And I live in my car in camping place, there are so many free camp areas, with toilets or other facilities. It’s great to travel there alone, female friendly, I’d love go Australia every year!
