Glasgow has many weird and wonderful people. The streets at night, especially the weekend, can be a big wild, with many drunk people roaming around. No one will cause trouble with you, as long as you don't start it. It can be roudy and loud, bug generally the people of Glasgow look out for eachother

I have always felt decently safe in Glasgow. Nothing criminal has ever happened to me in the city. There are a lot of drunk people but that tends to happen more at nighttime. I walk around on my own fairly often.

Glasgow is very safe, in my opinion. There’s a bit of this or that, but I’ve walked home at night many times & felt safe. As always, take normal precautions but I’ve rarely felt threatened here. One thing to note though is that public transportation does shut pretty early, so if you’re in the pub past 11:45 on weekdays, there’s a likelihood of having to walk if you can’t afford a taxi.

Glasgow extremely friendly city and is full of culture and arts with a wonderful queer community. But like any city there are all types of people and it has a history of violence. Overall I feel safe and welcomed living here but like any women I am cautious and stay alert when I walk alone at night.
Posted: January 19, 2025There is a big drinking culture in Scotland - especially in Glasgow - most of the time I only feel threatened by drunks and junkies, other than that the city is okay. Just try stay alert at night when a lot of people are drinking.
