Well, there's no place in the world that is 100% safe. So always take precautions, make sure you're confident in travelling to certain destinations. I would say make sure that someone knows where you're going, even if it's posting on an insta story or smthg make sure you've left tracks.
Posted: April 13, 2025London is known for mugging, especially East London. My phone was stolen in the first month of me moving to London. But ofcourse, each city comes with its own challenges. Its a lovely city, but you just have to be careful
Posted: April 10, 2025It’s moderately safe if you stay away from the high crime areas like Westminster, late at night. My street is safe but the walk there is a bit dodgy so I make sure I’m home before midnight. Which is just a good rule of thumb in general. Just be aware of where your phone is while walking and on the tube/bus. Make sure your purse is closed, etc. Keep an airbud out while connecting through the tube or walking outside after sunset, no matter the time.
Posted: April 10, 2025I was there for vaction and as far as i can say it was safe. Some people were alone outside even when it was already dark outside. I think its safe to go alone so don't worry so much about it. Take care. :)

Be careful and watch your stuff in touristic areas. People being loud and staring at you on public transport is unfortunately quite normal. It’s not a crime to change your seat inside of the bus or on the metro, if somebody sitting near you is making you uncomfortable. But all in all most of the people in London mind their own business.

It's a pretty safe place, especially during the day. Except you need to be really careful with your phone as there's been a lot of phone thefts in London. At night it's also pretty safe but it's important to stay aware, especially in more dangerous areas and in a darker streets
Posted: March 28, 2025For being a big city I think it is quite safe. There's the odd mobile snatchers and depends on the neighborhood you can have some streets or areas you might want to avoid, In the overall it's surprisingly safe.

London is a safe place for women who are prepared for the worst circumstances. To live in London as a woman you have to be prepared for the worst circumstances. It is the only way you can get home safe, if you are not taking a car or a cab using public transport walking alone at night for a distance longer than 10 minutes. Either bring a friend or stay on the phone to her friend and carry something to protect yourself.
Posted: March 27, 2025There are some nice areas (mostly central) where there’s always a lot of people around making it “safer”, however there are some areas who are not as safe but I would say still not as dangerous as to the point of getting murdered
Posted: March 18, 2025Like any major city there is risk of petty crime (phone, wallet etc) but I've never felt unsafe walking around, using public transport. Walking at night depends on the area, however touristy areas and most areas are completely fine, even at 3am!

London is a super fun city! This was my first solo travelling experience and I would really recommend this city if u are thinking of a place where to go alone for the first time. My advice is: choose a hotel/hostel in the center (I stayed at Wombat’s city hostel and it was super cute), use the bus (much cheaper and easier to understand) to get around, don’t go at night in places u haven’t visited during the day
Posted: April 11, 2025I felt extremely save in London overall, regarding the things you usually hear about cities that size. People were extremely helpful and nice. Most of the times, museums were free to enter as well! Everything else, like food and accommodations were way more expensive.
