You need to be aware of the surroundings. I usually don't walk alone during dark hours, but if i need to, i park my car close to the city centre and stay on the main roads, where other people are present.

I’d say it’s a pretty safe city, but there are areas that I’d avoid if it was too late or if I was by myself. And if I have to cross those areas I’d walk very fast and I’d suggest you’d do the same.
