I went to Turin with my sister for two days, we came by BlaBlaCar (carpooling) and came back by night bus (be careful, the buses station for night are NOT at the train station, we nearly missed our bus because we made the mistake, we had to run for our lives to get to the correct location, we ran for 15 minutes to get there cause buses late at night are not punctual so we could not get a bus to get to our night bus) We slept at a kind of hotel with shared bathroom, it was quite safe and well made, we booked it on booking.com, it was the cheapest we could find that suited us (50€ for two persons for one night). We went to bars and a techno club, people talked to us on the streets but without making us feel unsafe (some dude offered some weed but he wasn't violent or anything when we declined, and he wished us a good night X)) During the day, we had time to visit - the basilic - the palace - a parc And to see many other things from the outside. We wanted to do the Egypt museum but it was too expensive for us (30€) so we didn't. You can travel by foot very easily, we had time to do a lot. We also took the tram (quite old) and the bus a few times. We didn't find anywhere to take the tickets so we didn't have any but we were never asked for tickets (I would recommend to find tickets before you need them if you plan on staying longer than a day or two XD) Turin was overall an amazing experience 😁😁😁

I visited Turin in April for my dad’s birthday, beforehand I had asked here in local chat about places to see and restaurants to eat at and the recommendations were on point, we had an amazing time! We felt very safe, everyone was very nice.
Posted: May 25, 2025Turin is worth a visit for a the weekend and also has some good places for food. You can easily get around by foot as the main attractions are all in the center. Better to buy the entry tickets for museuns in advance as some exhibitions are easily sold out. Also make reservations for restaurants, especially if you do not travel alone as most tables are booked in advance.

In the city centre, the city is pretty safe, just look out for pickpockets or creeps like in any other city. Overall the feeling is pretty welcoming and people will help a struggling tourist. In the less close areas, it might be a bit more dangerous, especially at night and as a woman, but if you don't go around alone, you'll be fine
Posted: October 31, 2025Turin is a safe city as long as you know where to hang out! The center is perfectly fine even at nights. There are so many university students in the city so they are the ones around mostly! Just keep an eye on your phone in crowded places.

I live in Turin and I can assure Turin is safe in these neighborhoods: Centre, San Salvario, Vanchiglia, Santa Giulia, Quadrilatero. There is a lot of night life so a lot of people are present. But be cautious in San Salvario: avoid the "Portici" near the porta nuova train station and choose the streets with a lot of bars, try not to walk alone in San Salvario isolated streets where there aren't any bars open, you could find some drug dealers, usually nothing happens and they ignore you, but some catcalling might happen.

Hi, I'm Vevve! I'm a 23yo open-minded girl from Italy (Piemonte) and a nerd who likes anime and all sort of fandom stuff (books, TV series, animated shows, ao3 fanfictions, and so on). I love writing, growing plants, taking care of animals, staying at home to draw and getting lost in my own world, travelling, learning languages and eat sweet things! I would love to make safe friends and hopefully travel the world through mutual exchanges!

hi, I’m Elena and I’m from Turin, Italy. I’m 21 years old and I’ve always been fascinated from the idea of traveling and exploring new places alone. On the other hand, I also like meeting new people, and having the best conversations and experiences with them. I like staying in the nature but also visit the big metropolis, I can adapt easily to every type of environment☺️
