Overall it's a safe city. Women can easily walk during the day, the public transport is pretty efficient and there are plenty of bike sharing to reach every corner of the city centre. It's also safe to walk around and party at night, even if there's a higher chance to meet pickpockets, especially on the bus.

It's mostly safe, except for stealing, which unfortunately is very common, mostly related to scooters and cars. A part from this, Turin is a very safe city, I'd really recommend it for young girls as well to visit
Posted: July 24, 2025Turin is safe. Just always keep an eye on your belongings and you should be fine. As a women, you probably will experience catcalling. The regions Barriera di Milano and Aurora should be avoided. Turin is pretty clean for an italian city.
Posted: July 23, 2025Strange drinkers and drug addicts everywhere, there are some pretty swag zones but overall I would go out at night. In the night I ended up in a bus (around 00:00) and I was the only woman in the bus, with people that weren’t sober at all, was creepy
Posted: July 23, 2025It always depend on the area you are walking through, anche the time ad night. If you always stay in the historic area there always are people who are ready to help, it’s not dangerous, it’s possible to get robbed but it’s a mahout city and it’s like everywhere alse. It’s just important to not get lost and go outside of the centre.

I went to Turin with my sister for two days, we came by BlaBlaCar (carpooling) and came back by night bus (be careful, the buses station for night are NOT at the train station, we nearly missed our bus because we made the mistake, we had to run for our lives to get to the correct location, we ran for 15 minutes to get there cause buses late at night are not punctual so we could not get a bus to get to our night bus) We slept at a kind of hotel with shared bathroom, it was quite safe and well made, we booked it on booking.com, it was the cheapest we could find that suited us (50€ for two persons for one night). We went to bars and a techno club, people talked to us on the streets but without making us feel unsafe (some dude offered some weed but he wasn't violent or anything when we declined, and he wished us a good night X)) During the day, we had time to visit - the basilic - the palace - a parc And to see many other things from the outside. We wanted to do the Egypt museum but it was too expensive for us (30€) so we didn't. You can travel by foot very easily, we had time to do a lot. We also took the tram (quite old) and the bus a few times. We didn't find anywhere to take the tickets so we didn't have any but we were never asked for tickets (I would recommend to find tickets before you need them if you plan on staying longer than a day or two XD) Turin was overall an amazing experience 😁😁😁
