Depends on the zone it can be a little bit scary. If you are a women, nights can be a little bit scary when walking alone, but unfortunately I believe is a universal feeling, it happens in most of the countries.

Its very safe overall, just a bit of concern for pickpocketing and wallet/ mobile getting robbed in public transport. I am living here for long time, and major places are very safe and homely, but areas like porta palazzo or barriera di Milano can be avoided in evenings.
Posted: March 3, 2025Overall, people are minding their own business and do not bother you. They are nice. No problem about going out and getting home with safety with public transportation. However, it’s important to pay attention to surroundings late at night.
Posted: February 19, 2025Until now I have not been feeling unsafe walking after dark in streets or in crowded areas but sometimes I have heard that some sexual harassment and rubbing happened in some areas. For example l heard that areas like milan barier and aurora are less safe.
Posted: February 15, 2025From my POV, Turin is quite a safe city during the day. Around the city center and in many neighborhoods such as Crocetta or San Donato, I would say it is safe at night as well. However, there are some parts of the city that is better to avoid like any city. I’ve heard stories of robbery, sexual harassment, and aggressions during the day/night especially in the Barriera di Milano neighborhood. This starts from Corso Giulio Cesare. Some say Aurora neighborhood is also to avoid, but it really depends from street to street. It is known to be a place where you may see addicts regroup, especially close to the Dora river. Porta Palazzo is also in Aurora, but while it might seem a bit dangerous, the area has improved dramatically in the last few years. I’ve been living around Piazza della Repubblica for years now and I feel safe, it’s just a multicultural environment: nothing new to experienced travelers.
Posted: February 4, 2025it depends on where you are. I was only in the city in busy areas, so I felt really safe. just be aware that Italians are more social and loud and contact friendly, so they may start talking to you, but I haven't experienced it to be bad intended

The city is mostly filled with students. It's safe to travel, I didn't have any unpleasant experience. I lived there for an year. But, there are certain places where illegal immigrants are high, and the safety is very less. You need to be super cautious about your belongings. There are chances you might get robbed. It's very unlikely to happen. But, better safe than never.
Posted: February 1, 2025I don't consider it the safest city. There are areas right outside the centre that feel very spooky to me. Nothing ever happened to me, I only had weird encounters while going back home in the night, like kinda creepy people, but they were mostly minding their business. However, in some areas of the city, actual crimes take place and are reported on the news.

I’ve been here for only 4 months now, however I fell much safer here than back in Russia. I haven’t experienced any sexually related crimes and hope not to. Even though I have my fair amount of panic while walking in the dark, but I don’t feel like I might be a target of aggression. Although in some neighborhoods like Milan Barrier it is very dangerous to be outside in the dark time of the day. But I don’t go there and mostly hang out in more crowded and safer neighborhoods.

I felt very safe in Turin. During the day, it’s easy to walk around and explore and even at night I felt comfortable especially in busy areas. Some must-see spots are the Mole Antonelliana, the Egyptian Museum, and Piazza Castello. Turin is pretty affordable compared to other major Italian cities. I stayed at Hotel Nizza, which is located in a great central area, close to major attractions and the train station. The hotel was clean, comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was perfect for a short stay. It was a budget-friendly option, making it a good choice for anyone looking to explore the city without spending too much on accommodation.
Posted: February 15, 2025Ut is safe city to explore new perspectives but you should be careful while going to some neighborhoods. They have amzing foods you shold definitely try napoli pizza and gelato! Public transportation is fine just dont trust on traims ever!
