It’s pretty safe here in Turin especially for a small city. Turin is a safe city for visitors, with a generally low crime rate and a welcoming atmosphere. I walked around Turin at night many time. The city has fewer tourists and fewer immigrants compared to other Italian cities.
Posted: May 25, 2025Turin is a fairly quiet city, like in all cities there is crime, but if you stay in the right areas there are no dangers. The city center is calm, of course you always need to be a little cautious, but that's true everywhere anyway. The situation is different if you wander around areas like Barriera or Mirafiori, but I doubt a tourist comes to Turin to see the suburbs.
Posted: May 19, 2025The city is fairly safe in the central areas, but some spots are definitely more dangerous. If you're staying in Barriera di Milano, specifically, it is not recommended to be alone at night. On public transport it's generally a good idea to not keep your phone in the back pocket of your trousers.

I have been living in Turin for 8 months, and I love it because this city is one of the biggest in Italy. I find the city safe as a woman living abroad.

Overall I feel safe in Turin, even though there are some areas to AVOID (for example Barriera di Milano, Corso Giulio Cesare). Personally, I did not experience anything bad, also public transportation are quite crowded so I feel safe.
Posted: April 19, 2025Avoiding Milan barrier and aurora every where else is very safe I would say I have walked home alone at midnight or passed that time multiple times even though I would not recommend it in general but it was pretty safe .

I visited Turin in April for my dad’s birthday, beforehand I had asked here in local chat about places to see and restaurants to eat at and the recommendations were on point, we had an amazing time! We felt very safe, everyone was very nice.
Posted: May 25, 2025Turin is worth a visit for a the weekend and also has some good places for food. You can easily get around by foot as the main attractions are all in the center. Better to buy the entry tickets for museuns in advance as some exhibitions are easily sold out. Also make reservations for restaurants, especially if you do not travel alone as most tables are booked in advance.
