Before visiting, I'd read that Milan was not the highlight of most people's Italy trips, but my friend and I loved it. Getting around using the metro was easy, and we saw quite a lot in a couple days while working through jet lag. We took care in selecting restaurants and ended up with great food, including a visit to Bar Luce. Went vintage/resale shopping, saw an opera, visited the cathedral, went to Sforza castle museum, and some small painted churches we happened upon. We stayed near Milano Centrale station for easy arrival/departure by train, and easy access to the metro. It was a lot of fun!
Posted: October 8, 2025Experienced: February, 2025I visited Italy’s treasures Rome’s ancient ruins, Venice’s canals, Sicily’s charm, Milan’s fashion, and Lake Como’s beauty. Each city felt unique, making the trip truly unforgettable.i felt safe the people were so nice I’m definitely going back
Posted: August 23, 2025I kind of felt safe, because I also knew that people pick pocket in Italy a lot. I recommend going to see the old mall, it’s very beautiful but pricey shops. I also recommend going to the train Station, because outside there is a fun competition of rollerskating. Transportations was kind of hard, I recommend getting an uber if you are far away from your hotel/Airbnb. Otherwise it was a great place to visit I totally recommend visiting Milano, Italia. You can also find lots more fun stuff to do there.

A very beautiful city, with an atmosphere of something ancient, mysterious, very beautiful ancient architecture, there is a lot to see, very tasty food but quite expensive, although there are also cheap cafes, there are 24-hour shops, they have very tasty cookies, sandwiches and tea haha, in general it is an ideal place for those who love old architecture and museums!

It's overall safe, avoid travelling to Centrale, Shady public parks, Lumpungnano, San Siro side after 8pm. For robbery, they are really clever, will snatch your purse in Lumpungnano and run away or they might sneak in a bar, pick your bags and leave.

Some places are not safe in the night , for examples stazione centrale and via Padova . In general the tube and bus are safe but in the night it’s better taxi or car sharing. Some district are safe in the night , porta romana for example

Despite what's been televised as part of propaganda for upcoming elections, Milan isn't any less safer than a big city. Of course the neighborhood where you live will impact the evaluation, but I've been here for 10y and I've seen it getting increasingly safe
Posted: October 3, 2025Milan can be as safe as dangerous, in the centre of the city the criminality's level is not that high. On public transport, in some places, you need to pay attention. In general I think you can come here in safety

In the last years it’s not so safe, be careful girls going around alone and keep always your bags closed. At night use taxi don’t use public transport at night it’s very dangerous and stay in the central parts of the city.
