I think there are some zones in Milan that are not safe, especially at night, like near the train stations. But the areas that are most frequented at night, I think, are safer, like Darsena or Moscova. The same goes for public transport, that are usually very much frequented

It really depends on the city part. However, it’s always better to be accurate and attentive, especially in the evening - walk preferably with a company. Also, it’s important to pay attention to your belongings in the city center and while using the public transport.

Milan is a big city, and it really depends on the time of the day and on the area you’re in. I would say during the day it’s pretty safe to walk on your own and i’m usually not worried about anything, maybe just be careful for pickpockets on the underground. On the other side, when it’s dark, i think there are some areas or streets, the less crowded ones, that you have to be more carfeul to take. My advice is to always keep eyes open and avoid to take the 90 bus at night ;)

Overall depends on the area of the city (there are some areas that are not safe and it’s better to avoid). However pickpockets are everywhere and it’s better to look after your things, especially in central areas or Centrale

Even though it's a beautiful place for colture, hidden gems and activities, it is quite unsafe for women. If you stay in the center, zona Navigli or Chinatown for example, you're pretty safe, but there are areas like Corvetto and Quartoggiaro that are known for being anything but safe, especially for girls. And night time can be difficult if you're Alone, so gotta be careful

I do not live in Milan, but in the province and is definitely very quiet as a small town in the middle of the countryside. I walk alone during day, in the city or in the wood, and during night. But Milan has become more dangerous, in the evening I do not take public transport alone and even parking in isolated areas. During the day I am always attentive to who I have around, there are many pickpockets and "strange" people (men for the most). It’s a beautiful city, it has a lot of things to do and explore, but pay attention where you go, there’s a lot of criminality in the remote streets. Stay safe in public lighted spaces when you’re alone or with a little female group.

Unfortunately there a lot of immigrant that are harassing women also during the day, so from 2020 ongoing Milan is kinda dangerous, you need to be very concentrated on the street. I don’t recommend to walk by night alone, not even with a group of girls. During the nigh you need a taxi to move around safely.

Based on the statistics, Milan is not considered one of the safest cities in Italy, actually quite the opposite. On my personal experience is not that dangerous if you’re brave and careful enough; I’ve never had a single problem even when I was traveling alone, in the worst public transportation, during the worst hours and areas of the city; maybe I’ve been lucky but that’s my experience.

It really depends on the area. The train station is the most unsafe, don't ever go around there at night. The subway is also pretty dangerous at night and you can get pickpocketed at every hour of the day

I felt quite safe. It's a big city, but even in the evening I didn't feel in danger. I really recommend to book the sights in advance, especially the Last Supper. The pinacotecas are great. The duomo is gorgeous, the rooftop is a must.
