I always feel quite safe but please be careful in some areas. I personally have never had any problems anywhere in Milan, even in some area that are not the best for safety but it's always good to stay careful. If you travel alone pepper spray is always a must, in Milan and anywhere else.
Posted: May 31, 2025It's not that safe to stay in Milan nowadays, expecy if you are a woman. But it's totally possible to do it, just be careful and avoid certain areas at a certain time. Try to avoid navigli or central station during night. Prefer areas like duomo or garibaldi. Beware of pickpockets on the metro and for the rest, enjoy and have fun!
Posted: May 29, 2025Streets are kinda dark and it doesn’t feel safe but in general public transports are good choice and people are nice. Try to avoid areas where are more foreigners than locals and do not have conversations if something feels wrong.

Milan was an interesting experience - full of fashion, history, and a fast-paced energy. It’s a big, busy city with a lot to offer, but it didn’t feel as safe and relaxed as smaller places like Coimbra. You definitely need to stay aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas or at night. That said, I never had any real issues, just the usual big-city vibes where you keep your bag close and your phone in your pocket. I’m still glad I went and got to experience its unique style and atmosphere.
Posted: May 20, 2025I have been living here for some time and I can safely say that when you leave the city center, people can get a bit dangerous. I live outside the city center but use metro daily- nothing happens in metros but there were 2 instances in which i was followed to home, luckily my concierge guy helped me. at night, especially after 12- 12:30 am when metro's closed, just take a taxi.

I am willing to offer the freedom and security I would like to receive☯️I love the concept of this app🌍 I am Italian🇮🇹 October 99, originally from a small town in Piedmont⛰️ For high school I studied in Genova, so in the week I was in a "college" with other people and from there I began to appreciate the dimension of community, hospitality and friendships in many places👪 I studied at the University of Turin and did an Erasmus in Amiens🇫🇷 I was never good with languages😅 but I realized that my curiosity about people was stronger than the skills I lacked🔆 Last year I did one Camino for Santiago by myself🎒 I am now in Milan and I feel it is the time of my life to travel, host, and continue to meet people all over the world🗺
