How safe is Trento?

I lived here all my life, Trento is a small city and I would say it is pretty safe, of course the nearby of the train station after dark isn’t the safest place to walk through alone but being small is easy to reach safest places pretty fast. The unsettling feeling in Trento is that the movida in the night isnt very active so you feel in danger beacuse alone but what you percieve is less than what the real harm could be.

I live in Trento about 5 months. It’s a quiet and peaceful city. One day I left my laptop on the cafe table during a very busy time of the morning. I found out that my laptop is missing only 1 hour later and came back to the cafe. Guess what, my laptop was still on the same table. When traveling I used to arrive in Trenton late night or early mornings after flights and never had any problems walking on the streets at late night or using transportation here.

Trento is a very calm city. People are quote nice and I never felt in danger. It is a small city so also 11 year old kids go alone around the city centre. People are available and kind. There are lots of parks and cute locals which are totally secure.

Trento is a small city closed to the mountains, the university had brought a lot of young people in the city and this helped to make it safer! Also it’s a quiet city, there are few clubs, and bars not that crowded. You can find a lot of tourists from Austria or Germany.

Trento is a medium-small town in northern Italy; generally I feel safe, there are just some places or situations, that sometimes aren't that safe, such as Piazza S.Maria Maggiore or Piazza Dante during the night. But if I need to go there, I just keep my eyes open and my phone in my hand, that's it.

generally safe but still need to be careful at night. It’s a calm city, many police around. I would recommend to evite the station at night, but overall Trento is a safe city, compared to many other cities in Italy.

Trento is a very quiet and calm city. The maximun local trouble are teenager fights and drunk people every now and then. No worrying stories. The most trouble I have experienced is catcalling and some men that have bothered me vocally, but there are many guards everywhere and the surroundings are calm and feel safe for a solo woman.

Trento is a little city in the nord Italy, in general it’s pretty safe…there are some areas that it’s better to avoid in specific hours of the day, like Santa Maria when it’s dark, the Albere when is evening because there is no light.

It's a very safe city, there's a low crime rate and in the evening you can walk around alone without problems! Transportation is safe even for girls traveling alone!

Trento is a small city and its overall very safe. You can freely walk alone at night almost everywhere. Catcalling and some “lighter” harassment still happen like everywhere else but I’ve always felt very safe.

Trento is a cute town, I spent a week here in Spring through Erasmus and had a lovely time. There are great museums and archaeological sites, a castle and parks. After meeting some international friends we did a day trip to lago di garda and another to Verona.

Overall worth to visit! Trento is an educational, scientific, financial and political centre in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, in Tyrol and Northern Italy in general. The city contains a picturesque Medieval and Renaissance historic centre, with ancient buildings such as Trento Cathedral and the Castello del Buonconsiglio.
