Trento is a medium-small town in northern Italy; generally I feel safe, there are just some places or situations, that sometimes aren't that safe, such as Piazza S.Maria Maggiore or Piazza Dante during the night. But if I need to go there, I just keep my eyes open and my phone in my hand, that's it.
Posted: February 11, 2025generally safe but still need to be careful at night. It’s a calm city, many police around. I would recommend to evite the station at night, but overall Trento is a safe city, compared to many other cities in Italy.
Posted: February 5, 2025Trento is a very quiet and calm city. The maximun local trouble are teenager fights and drunk people every now and then. No worrying stories. The most trouble I have experienced is catcalling and some men that have bothered me vocally, but there are many guards everywhere and the surroundings are calm and feel safe for a solo woman.

Trento is a little city in the nord Italy, in general it’s pretty safe…there are some areas that it’s better to avoid in specific hours of the day, like Santa Maria when it’s dark, the Albere when is evening because there is no light.
Posted: January 18, 2025It's a very safe city, there's a low crime rate and in the evening you can walk around alone without problems! Transportation is safe even for girls traveling alone!

Trento is a small city and its overall very safe. You can freely walk alone at night almost everywhere. Catcalling and some “lighter” harassment still happen like everywhere else but I’ve always felt very safe.
Posted: December 29, 2024Trento is a quite safe place. I feel okay to walk around at night, also if there’s no one on the street. I’ve never been harassed and molested. In Trento there are many police patrols going around (actually this shi is quite annoying).
Posted: December 25, 2024It’s a lovely and small town. I have experienced walking in the midnight, and it’s quiet and calm, there’s no highly scared at that time. People I met are nice and friendly. Maybe after 10pm, there’s no so many people on the street, but you won’t feel wired or worry.
Posted: June 9, 2024it’s safe, but definitely not that safe as much like to describe it. You can walk easily on the street at day without much trouble, but i definitely don’t recommend to do it at night, at least not alone
Posted: April 1, 2024Overall worth to visit! Trento is an educational, scientific, financial and political centre in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, in Tyrol and Northern Italy in general. The city contains a picturesque Medieval and Renaissance historic centre, with ancient buildings such as Trento Cathedral and the Castello del Buonconsiglio.
