I always felt very safe in Bari. The city is know to be dangerous on some guides on the internet, but after living there for 8 months, I never experienced any danger. Walking home alone at night never felt like a problem for me. I stayed in the city center, just fyi
Posted: July 17, 2024Bari is a really safe place, only in the evening in some areas you may be the only person walking and you may feel uncomfortable but for the rest you will be immediately welcomed by everyone and you will feel at home, avoid the "libertà" neighborhood

Posted: March 19, 2024Safe in tourist places; just avoid walking in dark streets alone. The city also offers beautiful beaches, delicious cuisine featuring seafood and local specialties like orecchiette pasta, and a vibrant cultural scene.

I just simply fell in love with this city. Many people don’t stay here long, because they use it as a stop for their trip around Puglia. But let me tell you, I felt so at home. And although Bari is known as a rather dangerous city I never felt unsafe, I often walked home alone in the middle of the night (I stayed in the city center, just fyi)I could probably write a full food guide, but you must try Frulez, and Panzerotti & Focaccia at Magda. And so many cute vintage shops, Piattini D’avanguardia, Eroi, Prinz Zaum etc etc. Also: If you’re there in November/December: Check out the Bari International Gender Film Festival!<3
Posted: July 17, 2024Our stay in Bari is pretty short as we expect to take the ferry soon to Greece but it was overall a good experience :) The beach was nice, the people were welcoming and the coffee great ! I really appreciated the surroundings also.
