It’s safe because it’s a small town. You can walk alone through the streets and feel safe because there is always someone. Also public transports are safe. Of course some neighbourhoods are better than others but I’m happy to show you around.
Posted: January 19, 2025Verona is quite safe, of course there are some areas that is better to avoid after dark like the bus station and the train station as there are a lot of homeless people and drug sellers going around, but I happened to be forced to stay in those areas one night to wait for a flixbus and beside having anxiety for could have happened, actually nothing happened and no one talked to me. Sometimes there is police around to check the area. Inside the city on the other hand I always feel safe.
Posted: January 18, 2025It’s a pretty safe city if we’re talking about mugging or attacks, which happen more often to men. However as a woman I do worry about sexual harassment, from the usual catcalling or stares that happen every day, to the more rare touching. Precautions I take are: avoid being alone after dark, try to avoid “revealing” clothing, never accept rides or drinks from strangers.

Verona is not that safe, especially if you travel in the station’s area or around Porta Vescovo/via venti settembre. There are a lot of people that might cat-call you or assoult you. Please be safe if you have to walk around these places and try to get someone to walk around with you.
Posted: January 6, 2025I’ve been living in verona for over 2 years and honestly I’ve never experienced any dangerous or even uncomfortable situations. I’d be rather careful when it comes to walking alone at night especially in the area of Borgo Roma.

Beautyfle city with lots of art and culture, when I walk alone I fell safe, as in lots of others city in Italy and out of Italy. Obiusly for a gurl is always more difficult and also a small think can became a think to warry about
Posted: January 3, 2025It’s a small city and the center is really nice and safe, the only problem is that public transportation stops at 00:30. Other areas further from the center are less safe but less frequented. In summer the public transport continue until 2 a.m.
Posted: December 29, 202490% of the territory is safe for women, except for a couple of areas: Porta Vescovo and Borgo Roma (you are not going to be assaulted, but there is a risk of being robbed). You can easily move around on foot, even late at night. Generally speaking, the inhabitants mind their own business; it is mostly a quiet community. :)
Posted: December 27, 2024Verona is a rather small city and apart from the high affluence tourits season, it is rather quiet and safe. Sometimes you hear burglaries or thefths, but overall i feel safe walking home at night because there is always somebody nearby.
Posted: December 24, 2024Verona is a fairly safe city, you can walk around the centre during the day and generally you are never alone, as it is a rather touristy city. Even in the evening I don't feel in danger walking around in the centre, but there are some areas to avoid (e.g. the station and the more peripheral areas). I cannot say how safe the means of transport are because I travel by car, but on the occasions when I have taken them I have had no problems.

I went to Verona to visit a friend and while he was working I got to run around the city centre and some of the surrounding areas. I was hot, and when I say hot I mean hot hot! Personally I'm a person how gets sunburnt so fast so I really had to be careful but I was definitely worth a visit so many different people and just listening to the passionate Italian on the streets made me happy! LOVED IT 💗

Hi girlzzz Rebecca here :) I started to make foreign friends since a was a teen working and studing on the coast in England, carrying on the business in Bali and Ibiza recently. Currently they are my closest people, even if I can’t see them at any time I’m a native European, 75% Italian and 25% viking Growing up in the outskirts of Milan and have been living in Veron for years now (with a tiny roman break ) Sooo Veron is definitely my fav place to live in , so romantic and so ancient, like a fairytale and a strategic point to see a lot of cities around. Btw I’m a wild soul more than a “traveler”, for me go deep down in peoples local tradition is part of that specific vibe and I wanna know more and more about world and inabithants , so I’m really interested in a.
