How safe is Rimini?

Rimini is full of people during the summer, there are people on the street usually till late (that makes me feel safer). Otherwise you have to be always very careful as a solo women, expecially in the evening near the train station.

I think the city center is generally safe. Most crimes happen in the beach side. This town is known as one of those with highest criminality rate in Italy. However, living here in the past few years, I felt quite safe. There just few catcalling incidents, again in the beach side. I rarely walk alone at night but when with few girl friends, I felt safe.
