I think it's pretty safe but sometimes you get looks from men and it makes you feel uncomfortable but in the day I felt very safe, so I can recomend. And the location is absolutely stunning! Have fun!

Its absolutely safe during the day for women, id say after dark its best not to walk alone in certain parts of the town but in the center you'll feel pretty safe. Only thing, after a certain hours you may encounter some drunk people since its an area with many bars but whenever it has happened to me i just walked away avoiding them and they didnt bother me.
Posted: April 15, 2025Safe city, but maybe don’t stay near train station at night for too much time, but in general if you stay in the centre no need to worry, in the day is very safe. But in general you don’t need to worry, if you stay in other towns of the province, they are super safe both in the day and night
Posted: March 9, 2025Lecco is a safe city during the day. Most of the locals are around the city during the day from 6 am to 7/8pm. After those hours not many people are around and this could be a reason for worrying. Public transportation is usually safe during the day however I would not recommend catching the train after 7 pm as a woman alone.
Posted: January 18, 2025In most part of the city and during the day, I feel pretty safe and I don’t worry about anything. As everywhere else, you should be more careful during dark hours and near the train station. Overall I would describe Lecco as a safe city for solo travellers and girls

Lecco it's a small and quiet city on the lake in north of Italy. The only place where I feel unsafe it's the train station late at night and in general I won't recommend travelling on a train from 10pm.

Hii, im Chiara. I come from Lecco, a city on lake Como in northern Italy. I was born in '02 and i am currently a 3rd year medical student. I love to travel and am planning to visit as many countries as possible! Im quite extroverted and love to do all kinds of activities. My idea of a good hangout can be anything from just talking over coffee to sky-diving or sometimes even spontaneously booking a trip the next day✨ If youre looking for a travel partner, lets be friends!
