It's safer in Winter than in Summer. In August is full of tourists and some of them are here just for disco parties and beaches. So, in Summer, sometimes, illicit activities happen. In general is a safe place, even for women.
Posted: January 3, 2025Old Gallipoli is the best part of the city. The castle is very beautiful. The food is excellent. There are many law enforcement officers around, and this makes you feel quite safe. September is a great month to visit. The locals are really very sociable. The sea is beautiful.
