Gallipoli is a small town that's quite safe for women especially in the center there's no public transport so there's no risk of getting annoyed by anyone but many tourists arrive in summer so it can be a little dangerous to walk alone at night It's a small city so the mentality of the locals is narrow at times

It's safer in Winter than in Summer. In August is full of tourists and some of them are here just for disco parties and beaches. So, in Summer, sometimes, illicit activities happen. In general is a safe place, even for women.
