Is Liverpool safe for solo female travelers?

Liverpool generally provides a safe environment for solo female travelers. Most areas are quite secure even during night-time, with public areas often being busy and well lit. However, like in any other cities, it’s always vital to maintain awareness of your surroundings. While the city has a welcoming atmosphere and friendly locals, it's always recommended to use common sense, particularly when navigating less crowded areas or travelling late at night.

How safe is Liverpool for solo female travelers?

Family travel

Felt safe during the day but not at night lot of homeless and intoxicated men. Lots of affordable accommodation options all within a short walk of the main shopping area and restaurants. Very easy to get around on foot with fantastic bus and rail services

Liverpool is reasonably safe in most areas. Like any metropolitan city, it has its dangerous parts. But I run at night and early mornings most days and travel on public transport frequently. It’s fine as a woman. The risk of cat calling happens everywhere I have ever been but it happens the least here than somewhere like London.

Very safe during the day Take usual precautions at night as you would in any big city. Places such as concert square can become rowdy. Check to see if there is a Liverpool or everton match on as behaviour can deteriorate then.

Liverpool is fairly safe, however, its best to not be intoxicated so that you cant be taken advantage of. The worst that you will get is someone who slightly crosses your boundaries. However, you wont get anything that is serious enough to involve a police or search party.... There are plenty of clubs around the univeristy life and is heavily secured with bouncers and police officers to keep us safe!

About me

I’m looking to travelling as much as I can whilst I’m still young. I am quite new to travelling solo. My first trip solo was Madrid last year and I loved it, I want more! I love nature, culture and I am a big foodie! I like trying new things, going out of my comfort zone and speaking to new people.
