Liverpool is fairly safe, however, its best to not be intoxicated so that you cant be taken advantage of. The worst that you will get is someone who slightly crosses your boundaries. However, you wont get anything that is serious enough to involve a police or search party.... There are plenty of clubs around the univeristy life and is heavily secured with bouncers and police officers to keep us safe!
Posted: March 5, 2025In my opinion, I think that Liverpool is relatively safe. Having been here multiple times over a number of years, I have never once had a bad experience here. There are the occasional drunkard who may pass you on the street but typically they don’t do anything unsafe.

Liverpool is generally safe. Having lived here for 8 months now, I can tell you I haven’t had any terrible incidents yet. Everyone is very nice and helpful and the transport system helps you get places safely
Posted: July 13, 2024In my experience, Liverpool is a safe city to walk around and the locals are mostly friendly. The more tourist-y areas such as the waterfront and museums feel incredibly safe, and Liverpool ONE does as well. I don't go clubbing so can't say how it feels at night, but on the occasion I've been out in the dark it's been safe. I would recommend the normal things to keep yourself safe, like I avoid eye contact with strangers and don't walk with my phone out. Again, it is a safe city so this is just a precaution :)
Posted: June 28, 2024The city centre is mostly safe as there are lots of cameras and well-lit areas. I would say to stay away from alleyways and outside areas of Liverpool city centre. Just be moderately wary of your belongings however I have never known any pickpocketing.
Posted: May 30, 2024Felt safe during the day but not at night lot of homeless and intoxicated men. Lots of affordable accommodation options all within a short walk of the main shopping area and restaurants. Very easy to get around on foot with fantastic bus and rail services
