Is Ulm good for solo travel?

Safety:

Safety:Very safe

Ulm is highly secure for solo female travelers. It's a peaceful city with a low crime rate, strictly enforced laws and respectful locals. The locals are usually willing to help if you find yourself in a tough spot. As with anywhere, it’s recommendable to take regular precautions like avoiding lonely spots late at night and being aware of your belongings at all times, but overall, general safety conditions for solo female travelers in Ulm are excellent.
Transport:

Transport:Easy

The city of Ulm is quite easy to navigate. The city center is compact and suitable for walking. However, if you need to reach outlying areas, utilizing public transport or renting a bike would be helpful. Generally, the city is safe and locals are often willing to assist travellers with directions. As everywhere, remember to stay vigilant.
Things to do:

Things to do:Interesting

Despite its small size, Ulm offers plenty to explore. Its array of attractions and activities make it an interesting travel spot. The city boasts the famous Ulm Minster, the tallest church steeple in the world, offering breathtaking views across the city and beyond. The city's old town, with its narrow, winding streets lined with medieval and renaissance styled buildings, provides an authentic feel of Germany’s past and its unique history. On the border of old town, The Fishermen's Quarter with its tiny houses, narrow streets, and several bridges across the canals gives one a sense of Venice. But what makes Ulm stand out is its commitment to science, brilliant minds like Albert Einstein were born here, and the city is proud of its modern structures like the City Hall with its colorful frescoes and an astronomical clock. The city offers outdoor activities too: rent a bike and explore the cycling routes, or walk along the Danube River. The beautiful city of Ulm also offers abundant shopping, dining, and culinary options.
Food:

Food:Above average

In Ulm, you can find a decent mixture of international cuisines, thanks to its immigrant population. However, it primarily offers traditional Swabian dishes, such as Spätzle and Maultaschen, which may or may not cater to diverse taste buds. Few vegan and vegetarian options are available, and it might fall on a lower scale if you are looking for glutton-free options. Overcall, the food quality and flavor are quite good, but for diversity, it falls in the mid-range.
Budget:

Budget:Moderate

Ulm presents modest prices for a European city. Accommodation options like hostels and budget hotels are available, with prices varying depending on the season. Dining costs can be kept low if you choose to eat at local markets or street food stalls instead of dining in restaurants. Public transportation is reasonably priced and walking is also an option as the city center is compact. Major attractions carry a minimal entrance fee, making sightseeing affordable.

Is Ulm safe for women?

I haven't made bad experiences in Ulm and I live there since a few years. I have heard that there have been some cases of KO drugs at partys but probably not more than there are in other cities as well.
