Is Erfurt worth visiting?

Solo travel

Was on a multiple day bicycling tour through Germany. Spent one whole day in Erfurt. Very pretty city and also (without planning) was there during the happening of a music festival. No entry fees which I absolutely loved and very good music and vibes. People dancing everywhere and also nice decorations. That trip made Erfurt one of my favorite cities in Germany.

Overall safe, just depending on which areas one is in. Central Erfurt is safe. There isn’t really anything to worry about. The outer parts are depend. I don’t know about every one of them. So long as one stays in well lit areas and staying mostly central, it is safe.

“In my opinion, Erfurt is very safe. But yeah, unfortunately, as a woman, you always have to be aware of the possibility of harassment, no matter where you are in the world. Erfurt is a small city, so everything is easy to navigate, with good public transportation and actually a lot of police presence.”
