Renowned for its balance between a thriving urban environment and natural beauty, Perth offers soft sand beaches, expansive parkland, and a bustling cityscape. Safety:Very safe

Perth is generally a safe city for solo female travelers. It boasts of a low crime rate and locals are friendly and helpful. However, like any destination, it's always important to stay alert and be cautious, particularly at night and in less crowded areas. It's advisable to stick to well-lit paths and avoid walking alone late at night, especially in unfamiliar areas. Public transportation is reliable and safe but be careful of your belongings at all times. Always trust your instincts and respect local customs.

Transport:Easy

Perth is considered highly navigable for solo travelers. It has a well-structured city layout that facilitates easy navigation on foot or by bicycle. There are also efficient public transport systems - buses, trains, and ferries that cover extensive areas including both urban and suburban regions. However, some remote areas might be slightly difficult to access.

Things to do:Interesting

Perth offers a rich variety of activities for solo female travelers. From basking in the sun at the breathtaking beaches like Cottesloe Beach and Scarborough Beach to getting up close with wildlife at Perth Zoo or the Aquarium of Western Australia. The cultural scene is also top-notch, with the Art Gallery of Western Australia showcasing indigenous and international contemporary art. For a dose of history, you can visit the Western Australian Maritime Museum. Plus, the city’s café culture and evolving food scene is a delight to discover, providing much-needed breaks in between sightseeing. And let’s not forget the vibrant yet laid-back nightlife. Despite its isolation as one of the world's most isolated cities, Perth ensures you never feel alone.

Food:Above average

Perth offers a fabulous food journey, accommodating a vast range of dietary preferences and tastes. The city's food scene is a fusion of global cuisines, with numerous dishes influenced by Asian, Mediterranean, and authentic Australian cuisine. Street food markets and high-end dining experiences are equally diverse, offering fresh seafood, world-class wines, and vibrant farmers markets. The reason for not granting a 5 is just the slightly higher cost compared to other cities. Nevertheless, the quality and diversity of food in Perth are not compromised.

Budget:Moderate

Perth is relatively moderate in terms of being budget-friendly. Accommodation, food, transportation, and activities can vary greatly in cost. While some aspects such as dining and entertainment can be expensive, there are plenty of budget-friendly options and free activities like stunning beaches and parks. Public transport is also affordable and efficient, making it easy for tourists to get around.

Is Perth worth visiting?

Group travel experience

Oh, I love Perth! I didn't have high expectations for it when I traveled there. Eventually, I was enchanted by it. Rottnest Island is an absolute must-see. You can rent bikes there to explore the island. It was such fun! The Margaret River wine region is reportedly also amazing! I hope to be able to travel there in December when we return to visit my fiancé's family for Christmas!

Solo travel experience

In the heart of Perth there is a bridge for climbing and zip-lining, head to Freo to explore the history and great places to eat and drink, and besides that there's still Rotto, Margaret River, Pinnacles up north!
