Is Stoke On Trent safe for solo female travelers?

Not the safest place to be a woman, especially at night. If you have time go out, please keep to the main streets and lot areas and pay attention to your surroundings. The nightlife is not the best either way...but the city is surrounded by fantastic countryside and small villages

As long as you know what areas to avoid stoke can be pretty safe but some areas risk of sexual assault can be quite high. The club scene can also be a little dodgy so it helps having someone who knows where to go.

The locals are incredibly friendly and the area is generally safe. It's unfortunately a deprived area, and with that invariably comes drug use and crime. However, if you keep your wits about you and don't put yourself in unnecessary risky situations (i.e down dark alleyways alone at night), there is really nothing to be afraid of
