Is Lake District worth visiting?

Solo travel experience

If you love nature, the Lake District is bliss. The lakes are beautiful and sprawling, and there are many hikes of varying difficulty. I went in the spring (pre-pandemic). Pros: fewer crowds; the area is super popular in the summer. Cons: it can get chilly, and while there are public buses to get around, they’re on a more limited schedule than in the summer.
