Is Basingstoke safe for women?

A small town vibe where you'll be able to move around without feeling threatened. Others have mentioned groups of young people hanging around on bikes and some people begging; however, I wouldn't consider this unsafe.

I nearly had my handbag stolen in a pub that was on a table. Thankfully, people caught the criminal before he left the pub and I got everything back. My husband's car has hag things inside stolen a few times at night. We believe this is because his car didn't lock properly. Otherwise, I feel fairly safe in Basingstoke.
