I spent 2 nights in this seaside town. At one end of the promenade, there is a castle, and at the other end, there is a cliff railway, which leads up to a hill, from where there are views of the city and the sea. Felt very safe all the time.

Very safe overall, just be careful around back alleys with no street lights at night, although almost everyone is lovely, there are always a few who are not. Another thing is, the sea is lovely to swim in, but if there aren't any locals already taking a dip, there is probably a reason, either strong undercurrents, it being very cold, or lots of unseen debris from a recent storm. So always keep an eye out for what the locals are doing, if they're in the sea, you are absolutely fine to go in, if...

Aberystwyth is a very small city with a lot of Student. I feel vert safe, and often come back home really late at night without fear (which is great !!) People are looking for each other, and girls are all so kind <3
