Aberystwyth is generally safe for solo female travelers. Incidents involving tourists are low and usually involve petty crime. However, as with all travel, it's still important to be vigilant at all times especially at night. It's advised to stay in well-lit, populated areas and avoid any risky situations if possible. Is Aberystwyth safe to travel?

Solo travel experience

I spent 2 nights in this seaside town. At one end of the promenade, there is a castle, and at the other end, there is a cliff railway, which leads up to a hill, from where there are views of the city and the sea. Felt very safe all the time.

About Me

Hi I’m a largely retired nurse who loves hiking the mountains and the coast. I like travelling and now I’m retired should have more time. I travel on a tight budget but finds this means I meet more people in hostels than I would in hotels which is fabulous. I love nature and the countryside but also learning about different people and cultures.
