Traveling solo through Strasbourg on a low budget was an amazing experience! I felt super safe, even at night, which made exploring the city so much more enjoyable. The Strasbourg Cathedral is an absolute must-see—the details are incredible! Unfortunately, I didn’t make it up to the viewing platform, but even from the ground, it’s stunning. The city is full of cute little streets that are perfect for wandering, with charming cafés and half-timbered houses everywhere. Definitely a great destination for solo travelers!
Posted: February 1, 2025Experienced: December, 2024I visited Strasbourg around the Christmas time- which is, if you are familiar, the fullest and most beautiful version of the city. It was really crowded, but the city itself is so beautiful and there were too much to see so it didn’t cause any problems. The Christmas market was awesome, everything tasted so good! Overall the spirit and vibe of Strasbourg created a magical environment. I was there with 3 of my friends but I believe a solo trip should also be as good. Have fun!☺️

Strasbourg was a pleasant city to visit. I had to go to the currency exchange and was traveling with a significant amount of cash. I wasn't interrupted or bothered by anybody, and although I used my regular precautionary measures I felt safe. Food was great, it was off season but still quite a busy downtown/historical places. Good mix of crowds, delicious brunch at Madame Julia's.

Strasbourg is for me a safe town for solo female travelers. You can feel safe walking alone at night in almost every neighborhood. People are known to be friendly and help full. You can stay and relax in there :)
Posted: February 4, 2025Strasbourg is from my experience a safe city, i never had problem at night walking home alone but by bike is even more ideal. it s a city with a lot of students, so at night there can be a nice party atmosphere and you can easily meet young people when you walk home.
