Traveling solo through Strasbourg on a low budget was an amazing experience! I felt super safe, even at night, which made exploring the city so much more enjoyable. The Strasbourg Cathedral is an absolute must-see—the details are incredible! Unfortunately, I didn’t make it up to the viewing platform, but even from the ground, it’s stunning. The city is full of cute little streets that are perfect for wandering, with charming cafés and half-timbered houses everywhere. Definitely a great destination for solo travelers!
Posted: February 1, 2025Experienced: December, 2024I visited Strasbourg around the Christmas time- which is, if you are familiar, the fullest and most beautiful version of the city. It was really crowded, but the city itself is so beautiful and there were too much to see so it didn’t cause any problems. The Christmas market was awesome, everything tasted so good! Overall the spirit and vibe of Strasbourg created a magical environment. I was there with 3 of my friends but I believe a solo trip should also be as good. Have fun!☺️

Strasbourg was a pleasant city to visit. I had to go to the currency exchange and was traveling with a significant amount of cash. I wasn't interrupted or bothered by anybody, and although I used my regular precautionary measures I felt safe. Food was great, it was off season but still quite a busy downtown/historical places. Good mix of crowds, delicious brunch at Madame Julia's.

In the center of Strasbourg, police make patrol each 15 minutes so you’re totally safe walking alone at night or any time ! Also a lot of bar havr a secret « mademoiselle » cocktail that you can order if you’re annoyed by someone of feeling in danger !

It's a Western European city. "Zero risk" doesn't exist, especially as a woman, but I don't know any place where I'd feel safer (just maybe Japan?). Overall a very safe place to travel to, I would absolutely encourage women to travel there, even solo.

Hey 🌞 my name is Tirana. I’m 27 years old and live with my daughter in Strasbourg. I would love to find some travel buddies or just fun people to hang out with. Love to travel and explore new places but also appreciate just relaxing sun baths at a beach, with good food and a white wine. Festivals and concerts are always pure joy for me, having a group of fun girls to enjoy it together would be awesome! You travel with kids ? Perfect! Let our kids improve there English skills and making friends all over the world. 🌍 We live in a house at the country side of Strasbourg, there are buses very close to the city center, also I have 2 bikes you could use if you want to! 2 cats also live with us (and the strays I can’t stop feeding hanging out at the garden) Let’s connect ☺️ Everyone is welcome !!! 🏳️🌈

Experienced Couchsurfing host & guest, I'm super stoked for this girls only version!! My life situation is a bit messy at the moment, I'll be moving soon and able to host from June 🌞 In the meantime, I'm interested in building meaningful connections and helping sisters if I can :)
