Traveling solo through Strasbourg on a low budget was an amazing experience! I felt super safe, even at night, which made exploring the city so much more enjoyable. The Strasbourg Cathedral is an absolute must-see—the details are incredible! Unfortunately, I didn’t make it up to the viewing platform, but even from the ground, it’s stunning. The city is full of cute little streets that are perfect for wandering, with charming cafés and half-timbered houses everywhere. Definitely a great destination for solo travelers!
Posted: February 1, 2025Experienced: December, 2024I visited Strasbourg around the Christmas time- which is, if you are familiar, the fullest and most beautiful version of the city. It was really crowded, but the city itself is so beautiful and there were too much to see so it didn’t cause any problems. The Christmas market was awesome, everything tasted so good! Overall the spirit and vibe of Strasbourg created a magical environment. I was there with 3 of my friends but I believe a solo trip should also be as good. Have fun!☺️

Strasbourg was a pleasant city to visit. I had to go to the currency exchange and was traveling with a significant amount of cash. I wasn't interrupted or bothered by anybody, and although I used my regular precautionary measures I felt safe. Food was great, it was off season but still quite a busy downtown/historical places. Good mix of crowds, delicious brunch at Madame Julia's.

I am a 20 yo student living in strasbourg, and i love this city ! It is really beautiful and calm. Concerning the safety, i wouk not recommend to you to walk at night alone in the center (place kleber, petite france…) but there are a lot of neighbouring that are a lot safer and still pretty !

France is quite a safe place to travel People are nice There are light in the street during the night and you have transport not all night but during a good part of the night You don’t have your worry a lot about someone stolen your stuff even if as always it’s better to keep it with you or to let it at your accommodation

Hi to the team ! I’m Alex and with my friend Val we’re travelling around by bike from France. We are more than excited to meet new friends on the way, to meet up for a beer or a ride around ur area. We’re also on the look for some place to stay on the way, it doesn’t necessary need to be a bed, a place to put our tent or some room on the floor is more than enough. Excited to meet up all ! Cheers
