Very nice, try to walk a lot around the principal Island and you can also see the small cities in Alsace ! At Christmas it is so beautiful and you can escape the mass of people. In summer you can also go to the mountains, the Vosges ! Or in Germany, with the D tram to Kehl

I felt very safe in Strasbourg, it’s a welcoming and charming city. I highly recommend walking around La Petite France, visiting the cathedral, and enjoying a boat tour on the Ill river. For food, the traditional winstubs are a must—Flammekueche is delicious! I stayed near the city center which was very convenient and lively. Getting around was easy thanks to the trams and the fact that most places are walkable. My itinerary was a mix of cultural visits, long walks, and good food, which...

I was in Strasburg for 2 days with two female friends during the Christmas period and it was not too crowded the energy that ambience was amazing. It rained a little but overall great. We booked an Airbnb that was like almost $100 a night for 3 which is not too bad. The room was fantastic!!! We tried a restaurant that was in front of the famous cathedral, service and price was great, but the food was… eh. It was not fresh. We didn’t get out super late in the night so we don’t know but in...

Traveling solo through Strasbourg on a low budget was an amazing experience! I felt super safe, even at night, which made exploring the city so much more enjoyable. The Strasbourg Cathedral is an absolute must-see—the details are incredible! Unfortunately, I didn’t make it up to the viewing platform, but even from the ground, it’s stunning. The city is full of cute little streets that are perfect for wandering, with charming cafés and half-timbered houses everywhere. Definitely a great...

It really depends on the neighbourhood and if it’s the day or the night but overall it’s really ok and safe even tho it’s a big city We are lucky because with the European Parliament the city is more dynamic and safe

Strasbourg is a beautiful tourist city. There are police making rounds in the city center. There are no crimes to my knowledge. There is a bit of street harassment in certain neighborhoods but not in the city center. There is no fear in walking alone during the day or at night.
Posted: August 23, 2025Strasbourg is really a safe place. It is not like Paris or Marseille, it is a big city but I always feel safe there. I go out in the night, and, even if I don't trust men, nothing happened to me yet, so I think you all might feel safe too.
Posted: August 20, 2025Strasbourg is a safe city! As a woman, it’s one of the cities where I feel the safest, but of course there are always exceptions: the train station area and certain streets in the city center late at night can be complicated (especially place Homme de fer).
