I’ve been dreaming about since I was 17. I saw the city in the travel vlog, I guess. When I was doing my Erasmus in Germany, I just texted in the group chat like “hey guys, I found a cheap ticket to Colmar -and introduced the city - and who’s up for Christmas Markets in there?”. And suddenly, 20 people wanted to come with me and we went all together. It was the un forgettable moment in my life.
Posted: August 26, 2024I visited France for the first time! Colmar is a charming city with its unique architecture. I tried the specialties and loved the pretzel. La Petite Venise was very fascinating. The boat was a 25 minute guided tour and the lady was really kind translating me in English. Absolutely recommended
Posted: August 1, 2024I went to Colmar for the Christmas market. It was very nice, but crowded. I recommend going when the markets are still open between Christmas and New Year's. My friend went during this time and there were no crowds at all.
Posted: March 25, 2023Colmar is a very beautiful city, although very touristy. We went there for one day and it was sufficient, as it is not too big. If you like old architecture, this is the perfect, charming place. It's nice to just sit with a glass of wine, eat a piece of flambée tart, and watch the people passing by. I've visited many cities and this one definitely stands out in my memory.
