Is Nice Safe for Solo Female Travelers?

I feel safe walking around the city at night to my airbnb place. It’s always better to be attentive but nothing happened to me luckily and street is kinda empty. People are super nice, helpful, and willing to speak English! I had a good time there apart from the food poisoning from beef tartare😮‍💨

Group travel

The beaches are lively, cafés are full, and the whole city feels more alive. You get beauty, culture, sea views, and a touch of luxury without the stress. It’s the kind of place where you dress nicely even just to walk around.

Solo travel

I'm absolutely in love with the city of Nice and the whole region 🥰 I visited it twice, once during my first ever solo travel and it was amazing experience. I've always felt very safe, even at night and the people were so kind. I'm sure I'll be coming back 😊

I had a really lovely time in Nice last August! I felt super safe the whole time and everyone was very nice. Lots of things to do in the city and surrounding areas! I highly recommend to anyone solo travelling

Here is my last trip in South of France in Nice 🌞🌊 Yes it was safe What we did : - Promenade des Anglais - Cours Saleya - Vieille Ville - Colline du château - Arènes de Cimiez - Musée Matisse - Opéra Club Nice (Party) The city is very nice and I recommend all the things we’ve done :) I stayed at a friend house and the train from Paris Allez/Retour was 62€

Nice is a great central city un south France. It's easy to access by trains, plains or buses and allows you to visit beautiful villages around. I felt safe even at night during my solo trip of 4 nights.

I felt very safe even walking at night. I was based in Cannes, but did day trips to Nice and Monaco. I would just be careful on the trains as they can get full very quickly and this is a good target for pickpockets. Other than that, I always felt very nice and there’s a strong tourist infrastructure

Nice is a pleasant, colorful city, typical of Mediterranean towns. There are many specialties to try, such as socca and pissaladière. My favorite places in Nice that you should also try out: admire the view of the castle hill, going for a walk at the Promenade des Anglais, go to the Cours Saleya flower market and stroll around the old town. Family travel

We slept at my uncles place so the costs werent that high but still France is expensive. I loved the beach and will go back. Much better quality of life than Germany. People are also so outgoing at night

Such an awesome city! Funny and conversational people, lovely beaches, awesome art! I didn’t eat out much, but groceries were fairly reasonabley priced! Cheap alcohol compared to North America! The art gallery is a must see

Overall safe but some places might get scary. I would say to avoid Les Moulins at night and Northern Nice as well. There are plenty of cameras all over the city and some street lights are equiped of direct lines to the police.

I would say that I feel pretty safe here. But I live in a good part of town. There are some dangerous parts like Las Planas and Les Moulins. I wouldn’t advise going there even during the day. I was warned about the pickpockets, but I haven’t encountered anything like that. I would still advise to keep you possessions close and be vigilante on the train stations

As a woman in Nice, I feel safe walking alone, whether by the sea or in the city. The lively atmosphere, people around, and calm vibe make me comfortable and give me a sense of security in my daily life.

I find that it's a pretty safe city, except maybe at night when there can be fights or men who whistle at us, especially when alone, but I've never experienced anything more than that. During the day, no problems at all.

I have only been living in Nice for 2 years, but as a student here I often go out at night whether on weekdays or weekends, I‘ve always been taking public transports or walked around the city by myself and never had any problems.
