How safe is Saint-Tropez?

Safety at night:

Safety at night:Safe

Saint-Tropez is generally considered to be safe, even for solo female travelers. Being a popular tourist spot, its areas are well-lit at night and maintain regular foot traffic. However, standard precautions should be taken as in any other city, especially at night. Be mindful of your valuables and avoid isolated and poorly lit areas if possible.
Public transportation:

Public transportation:Very safe

Saint-Tropez is known for its reliable, safe, and efficient public transport networks. The town's small size makes it easy to navigate with just a bus and ferry system. The bus services are regular and drivers are professional and caring about passenger safety. Additionally, the ferry service is not just secure but offers a scenic way to travel, especially when visiting neighboring towns. It's also worth noting that local people heavily rely on these services, which shows how trustable they are. Although precautions should always be taken especially at night, the risk of encountering difficulties or safety issues while using public transportation in Saint-Tropez is generally low.
Street harassment:

Street harassment:Low

Saint-Tropez is generally a pretty safe city with well-maintained public order. As a female traveling alone, you may occasionally receive unwanted attention, such as unsolicited compliments or advances, but these instances tend to be rare. People often respect personal space and are regularly mindful of their interactions. The locals are generally friendly and the police assure peace on the streets. However, like every other place, it is advisable to exercise a basic level of caution.
Petty crimes:

Petty crimes:Low

Saint-Tropez, like many tourist-centric locations, would always caution tourists to be aware of their belongings. Petty crimes such as pickpocketing or purse snatching may occur, particularly in crowded places. However, considering the overall safety standards in this part of France, these instances are typically quite rare. Always remain cautious of your surroundings and keep personal items secure.

Is Saint-Tropez worth visiting?

Solo travel

Go on Tuesday or Saturday (market days), catch a ferry for the whole day (great for taking photos etc.) Le Girelier is my favorite restaurant there. Right at the harbor.
