High youth crime rates. Mostly break and enter & car theft crime. Some opportunistic crime against women. Police helicopter, PoliceLink, local police enforcement and neighbourhood watch groups active in the area.

Pretty safe. I wouldn't walk at night around though. Mainly kids stealing cars. Lock your doors and hide you car keys at night. 
Also lock your car doors when driving.
