Zaandam is a peaceful city! Everything you need is there and it is definitely on the safe side. Of course danger is everywhere, but waking with your phone in your hands or in your back pocket is no issue at all :) You can even leave your bag in a café and use the toilet and I promise it will be there when you get back. Be safe anyways though🫶🏽
