Hoorn is a sweet and safe city. You can bike in the night if necessary but you need to keep your eyes open. Preferably don’t be alone by night, just like in most cities. The Roode Steen is a nice place to go for a Lunch and to experience a real dutch party. Here with a lot of alcohol and good music.

I walk around Hoorn all the time, mostly by day. You don’t really have to worry about being touched or something like that. But you will get looks from strangers, mostly men. Sometimes they’ll whistle or say something to you. If that happens, just ignore it and walk away. I don’t really like to walk at night although nothing has happened to me while I was walking at night.
