I have not lived here very long but would say it is very safe. I feel safe after dark going home and it is ok to leave the front door open. Really safe I would say. Will update this part when I know more about Ede.

I come from a very unsafe country, but living here has healed that trauma. I go everywhere alone. Even in the middle of the night. I am currently living alone and i feel safe. I take only public transport and cycle everywhere.

Ede is very safe, its clean and orderly. There's street lightning everywhere and the people are nice! The only 'sketchy' neighbourhood is Veldhuizen, but even there not much happens. I've lived here all my life and have been catcalled maybe 2/3 times.
