Turin has been welcoming me and my dog Almond with warmth hugs! Greeted by the sunset on our arrival day and meeting lovely new friends/sisters in the city. The city is definitely beyooond dog friendly and its coming from us who lives in Berlin that is also considered dog friendly city! Food has been amazing and people has been really kind and heart-warming.

Turin is awesome! One of the more affordable cities to visit, with a super creative vibe. There’s tons of live music, jazz, and open mic nights! Also the food is great. Typical for the area, bagna cauda is a must try!!
Posted: February 27, 2024Experienced: February, 2024It was really relaxing and I had so much with my friends. I went there for only 2 days but even that was enough to see the well known places. The food was amazing and delicious also you can go anywhere by foot plus the subway is too easy to use.

From my POV, Turin is quite a safe city during the day. Around the city center and in many neighborhoods such as Crocetta or San Donato, I would say it is safe at night as well. However, there are some parts of the city that is better to avoid like any city. I’ve heard stories of robbery, sexual harassment, and aggressions during the day/night especially in the Barriera di Milano neighborhood. This starts from Corso Giulio Cesare. Some say Aurora neighborhood is also to avoid, but it really depends from street to street. It is known to be a place where you may see addicts regroup, especially close to the Dora river. Porta Palazzo is also in Aurora, but while it might seem a bit dangerous, the area has improved dramatically in the last few years. I’ve been living around Piazza della Repubblica for years now and I feel safe, it’s just a multicultural environment: nothing new to experienced travelers.
Posted: February 4, 2025it depends on where you are. I was only in the city in busy areas, so I felt really safe. just be aware that Italians are more social and loud and contact friendly, so they may start talking to you, but I haven't experienced it to be bad intended

Hello everyone I am Meryem but I use Merry as nickname. I studied language in university. And I am volunteering in Italy right now. I help people to make their life more beautiful. Also, it was my dream since graduation. Now that I challenged myself to see what it was like to live alone abroad hahaha I plan to wander around Europe while I am here. Christmas holiday is a perfect opportunity for this! I will go to Vienna- Prag and Budapest during this trip. I am looking forward to exchanging our stories and adventures!
