Turin is worth a visit for a the weekend and also has some good places for food. You can easily get around by foot as the main attractions are all in the center. Better to buy the entry tickets for museuns in advance as some exhibitions are easily sold out. Also make reservations for restaurants, especially if you do not travel alone as most tables are booked in advance.

Italy
There is lots of interesting museums in Turin, you should definitely visit the royal museum and Egypt museum, if you have time the cinema museum is a nice addition and depending on the exhibitions could be really interesting. Don't go more north than Dora river thos its not safe, especially during the night

I feel safe in Turin. I was with Freire and we enjoy a few nights out. There’s no pickpocket as Rome or other big cities. The food was great and so cheap! You just try all kinds of pizza. Also for a cinema lover you must go to the Molle Antonella is heaven!
Posted: March 9, 2025I felt very safe in Turin. During the day, it’s easy to walk around and explore and even at night I felt comfortable especially in busy areas. Some must-see spots are the Mole Antonelliana, the Egyptian Museum, and Piazza Castello. Turin is pretty affordable compared to other major Italian cities. I stayed at Hotel Nizza, which is located in a great central area, close to major attractions and the train station. The hotel was clean, comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was perfect for a short stay. It was a budget-friendly option, making it a good choice for anyone looking to explore the city without spending too much on accommodation.

Turin is a fairly quiet city, like in all cities there is crime, but if you stay in the right areas there are no dangers. The city center is calm, of course you always need to be a little cautious, but that's true everywhere anyway. The situation is different if you wander around areas like Barriera or Mirafiori, but I doubt a tourist comes to Turin to see the suburbs.

Clelia
Hello, I am Clelia! I study philosophy and I love to travel (that’s a given). I am currently living in Turin, Italy but I will probably move to Norway and then Spain for working reasons in the next years. I love meeting new people to share experiences and learn something new about a different culture and language or simply a different way to look at things and enjoy a coffee. That’s probably the reason why I like travelling so much. Music is also a very important passion of mine. Attending a concert is always one of my top reasons to visit a place. But I also enjoy a lot waking in the nature and go on hiking trips. Last but not least, I live with a very cute pet rabbit called Mephi who, when she can, joins me in my travel adventures. She loves running in parks and beaches!

Hi, I'm Vevve! I'm a 23yo open-minded girl from Italy (Piemonte) and a nerd who likes anime and all sort of fandom stuff (books, TV series, animated shows, ao3 fanfictions, and so on). I love writing, growing plants, taking care of animals, staying at home to draw and getting lost in my own world, travelling, learning languages and eat sweet things! I would love to make safe friends and hopefully travel the world through mutual exchanges!
