Loved Turin, loved the castle and the gardens easily one of the most interesting places I have ever visited. The transport was easy to figure out and the people are nice. Alba, a small town not far from it is absolutely gorgeous, full of vineyards and good wine (Borolo).
Posted: January 29, 2026Experienced: March, 2025I went to Turin with my sister for two days, we came by BlaBlaCar (carpooling) and came back by night bus (be careful, the buses station for night are NOT at the train station, we nearly missed our bus because we made the mistake, we had to run for our lives to get to the correct location, we ran for 15 minutes to get there cause buses late at night are not punctual so we could not get a bus to get to our night bus) We slept at a kind of hotel with shared bathroom, it was quite safe and well...

I visited Turin in April for my dad’s birthday, beforehand I had asked here in local chat about places to see and restaurants to eat at and the recommendations were on point, we had an amazing time! We felt very safe, everyone was very nice.
Posted: May 25, 2025Turin is worth a visit for a the weekend and also has some good places for food. You can easily get around by foot as the main attractions are all in the center. Better to buy the entry tickets for museuns in advance as some exhibitions are easily sold out. Also make reservations for restaurants, especially if you do not travel alone as most tables are booked in advance.

Turin is overall a safe city, there are very specific areas that are not safe during the day(behind the “mercato centrale”). During the night some suspicious people are near the stations Porta Nuova and Porta Susa, small gruppo of young adults can make you feel unsafe . In the core of the city you can see homelesses during day and night, but usually they are not dangerous, they are just trying to survive, but just to be sure try to about them.

Turin is pretty safe in the city centre, especially for tourists. At night, definitely avoid the suburban area or any less trafficked street, and you'll be safe. There's an increasing number of homeless approaching and, though some are actually harmless, avoid stopping as others are not.
Posted: June 12, 2026City is overall safe except for barrier di Milano, aurora and nearby area. Well connected with public transport during the day time Be a little careful in the doubtful areas as some pickpocketing also happens. Can use taxi services during the night if public transport for the day has ended. Some monopatino like lime and others are also available so you can also travel using those. Just avoid the weird zones and very shady feeling places and you can be fine.

Very safe city in the center, however, there are a few districts needs to be avoided. Aurora and Milan Barriera are the most dangerous neighborhoods. However, Parco del Valentino and some parts of San Salvario are also dangerous at night.

Looking to make friends. Hii ✨☺️ I live in Turin, Italy . I work remotely and would love to make some friends in the city, go for walks, discover new cafés, and do a little language exchange (me: Spanish, you: English). We could even practice over a video call and see if we vibe :D but all so we can go for a coffee or something on the week
