Parma is quite a safe city, apart from the baby-gangs (groups of young boys) that usually attack people of their same age (teenagers), surrounding them and robbing their money or their mobile (but also their branded clothes).
Posted: April 24, 2025It's actually a very safe city. However, there have been a few incidents that have made me want to buy pepper spray for protection. Once I was in a park and a group of men started coming towards me saying something (I don't know what they wanted) and I just kept walking without paying attention and they backed away.
Posted: April 12, 2025Parma is safe but need to tale care of your things otherwise high chance to be rubbery. Overall I love to stay here. Its beautiful specially the city center. I would say its safe even-though a girl can go alone on the midnight

Parma is cool and chill but it depends on the part of the city you’re in and the time of the day. People tend to catcall in every part of the city and at every hour, but in my experience, it stops there. During the day i rarely assisted to any fight or such, but at night it’s different, if you’re in the city center it’s safe and okay because of the city being full of students, but where the city is less crowded i don’t feel safe at all.

Overall, Parma is really safe. Of course there are areas that I wouldn’t recommend, like the ones close to the train station, but for the rest, it’s a calm and nice city. Nothing bad ever happened to me in the city so hopefully this is the case for everyone :)

Safe city especially in the city center. Avoid certain areas during the night, especially the railway station surrounding. Never heard of any woman attacked, but in the railway station there are baby gangs and suspicious people hanging around when dark.

During the day you can easily go everywhere. At night, like everywhere it’s best to keep away from the station and more isolated streets. Generally safe but you never know wyes open just as a safety precaution. Nothing ever happened to me
